    Thanks for sharing this video. I visited the braes for the first time in June of this year to scatter my mum and dad's ashes somewhere near the point where you did your commentary from. She was originally from the east end, at Blackhill, and it was always her wish to be brought home. Although I could identify most of the city landmarks and buildings when I visited I wasn't altogether sure of the points on the horizon on the hills. Thank you for pointing them out.

      Hi Steven very sorry to hear about your wee Mum mate thst's sad news :( But it is a very fitting tribute to scatter your Mum's ashes on these hills such a nice place. Im not very familiar with Glasgow's east end and only once in a blue moon do i visit that area but if you pause the film @2:39 im pretty much sure that is the Blackhill scheme in the top left-ish of the screen. Thanks for taking time out to watch and comment keep the chin up my friend and take care, peter :)

    Happy new year Peter. Brilliant video as always, brought back some memories for me there. I was brought up in Castlemilk (70s/80s) then moved to Thornliebank as well. Completely forgot about the Scotland v Holland friendly at Hampden til you mentioned it. Place was buzzing! Have a brilliant 2021, hopefully will bump into you at some point. Would be good to have a gab 😆 Take care and stay safe 👍🏼

      Cheers John glad you liked the film mate :) I could have extended the upload by about an hour just talking about the good old days and pointing out landmarks that i couldnt see until i went home and had a closer look at the footage never mind the football lol! That was my first international game im sure it was a warm up friendly before we went to "Spain 82" to win the world cup ha ha! Happy New Year John hope all is well ma man, peter.

    Hi Peter, holy moly that is what I call a zoom! Thanks for showing Glasgow, very interesting also when not easy to understand 😉

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The zoom is from the Sony Cybershot DSC HX400V Camera i have three of them at the moment and one needs fixed. It is a great camera much better than the Cannon range i used in my years ago early films.

      @@MUNROSnCORBETTS Interesting I thought it was a Nikon camera. Never tried a Sony camera. I used before Nikon before I changed to Fuji a view years ago - said this I never had filming in my mind.

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@StripeyHatGuy From now on i will use only Sony or Nikon(i have a Gopro 6 too) never thought about Fuji though but it is certainly a range to be considered in the future.

      @@MUNROSnCORBETTS absolutely, I love the simplicity and form factor + reliability! Had my Fuji XT1 already by minus 45 degree celsius outside without any faults...ok the batteries are rubbish (even in summer) but third party ones are pretty cheap. When I read my post I assume fuji should pay me 😂

    Yeah the zombies come out at night Peter. Great view of the city lights I try get there next summer if we're not tier 17 by then. I get back to the killies soon Middle Duncolm or Black linn probably. ATB.

      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tier 17! You know Eddie wouldnt be surprised mate but it slowly looks promising(slowly) But in these restrictions you are forced to look a wee bit closer to home and you can see what you are missing out on. But like you i am missing it cant wait to just get out back at it. All the best for tonight big man have a good one, peter.

    Great viewpoint that Peter and thanks for the tour of your city, a few characters down there I'm guessing haha. Glasgow reminds me of Newcastle with the river being the focal point and that oh and the football, apart from Newcastle United having no rivals sharing their home. Good to see you getting out and about , been a crap year for sure. All the very best for the new year bud. Take care. Mick.

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mick yes no doubt there will be a few characters roaming about bumped into a few myself over the years very interesting! I was debating with myself should i mention the football as for reasons i dont have to explain but so far it seems fine but as in a few hours time an obscene amount of beer and whisky will be downed up here who knows...........lol! I've always thought Newcastle and Glasgow have a similar looking riverside even in this modern building era. I took my Dad down there just before lockdown as he wanted to drive over the Tyne Bridge and we had a good look. I got a bit lost in the town centre and i must had dove through about 3 bus lane's and was expecting points and fines through the door but nothing came of it(thank god). Wish you and family a happy new year Mick all the best for 2021 big man, peter.

    Thanks for this Peter it’s good to see some different views of the city . Could you tell me in which one of your videos it was where you pass a pond that’s changed colour due to minerals ? I’ve been looking for it but can’t remember the Munro you were doing .
