- Keynote speaker at the Aspen Challenge: Philadelphia Competition 2017
Angela Duckworth is a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and a 2013 MacArthur fellow. She is also the founder and scientific director of the Character Lab, a nonprofit whose mission is to advance the science and practice of character development. Duckworth studies grit and self-control, two attributes that are distinct from IQ and yet powerfully predict success and well-being. Previously, she founded a summer school for low-income children that was profiled as a Harvard Kennedy School case study and, in 2012, celebrated its twentieth anniversary. She has also been a McKinsey management consultant and a math and science teacher. Duckworth completed her undergraduate degree in advanced studies neurobiology at Harvard, an MSc in neuroscience from Oxford University, and a PhD in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her first book, Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance, debuted May 3, 2016 as an immediate New York Times bestseller.
Dr. Angela Duckworth is a phenomenal performer. Her articulation skills is beyond measure. And I really admire her honesty.

Very helpful and interesting video.
Thanks mam angela duckworth
I like this talk thank you
Awesome
Have to do something a single day as W.smith does
1. what one thing do is to decide specific details outside of your reach yet .
2. Practicing alone over 70 percentages of your efforts with 100 concentration
3. Listening to others feedback such as teacher, classmates ,even thought negative reputations. If you tried to adjust that feedback.it makes you to get better.
4. Never giving up on a bad day, should stay
Think about those that purpose ,growth mind set, good learners. Ask yourself what you want to be
Great
Hello Aspen Institute, can we please use this video for our community of teenage Nigerian students on Edufirst TV?
Interesting talk.. by the way, I not too long ago watched a Ted Talk on TH-cam by an inspiring young woman titled '5 before 5'.. I recommend everyone to watch it because it's an amazing talk that could change someone's life..
Will smith for gritty, this didn’t age well 5:40, this shows that grit is not the only quality one must have, some self control also helps.
can anyone share the official channel of Angela Lee Duckworth?
Could someone give me a summary of this video I get easily distracted and the video is a bit long.
