Yeah I’ve basically just started taking my elderly dog out in in an old pram because it was quite cheap and I get some funny looks but most people get it.
This video is so cute! We been notified ourselves that my old lady has cancerous mass cell tumors again, so pet mortality has been on my mind lately. It’s both a gift and burden our best friends, that we can love them so much but they leave all too quickly. We can only love them and give them the best life while they’re still here, and they’re always puppies in spirit 🥰 Thank you for such a nice video
This made me cry honestly. So sad seeing she can’t run with Toby anymore. She seems happy yes but it’s hard to see that she’s getting older and time is passing. I have an elderly dog too and she slowing down as well. I hope we both get as much time as possible with our old girls as we can. Thankyou for letting us see this side of Matilda’s life
She looks so happy in that stroller! It's nice for her to be able to go to all the places she wouldn't be able to walk to herself and keep that brain working with all the different scents. And look at her enjoying that sunshine! 🥰
Oh, this is so sweet and brings me fond memories of my sweet shih Tzu, Jovi. Jovi was diagnosed with a heart murmur around 2016 I believe and it progressed into heart failure in early 2018. Along with medication, I also got him a stroller so I could take him places since he was no longer allowed to do the fun doggy things either like walks and running around (although.. I would take him on short walks from time to time). He had really bad separation anxiety as well which was obviously not good for his heart and the stroller helped me bring him to work, to vet appointments, grooming appointments, and wherever else. ❤️ I got strange looks sometimes but it was worth it for us. Jovi sadly had to be humanely escorted to the rainbow bridge in November as his medications stopped working, he was collapsing a lot (very scary), and couldn't hold his pee anymore. I miss him everyday and will for the rest of my life but I have no doubts in my mind the medications and being able to bring him places in a stroller prolonged his quality of life. ❤️ I hope the stroller brings the same quality of life for Matilda as it did Jovi. Thank you for sharing this video.
I have 3 doggo strollers!! When chihuahuas got older there was no way they could keep up with my young German Shepherd but they hated being left behind (even more than I hated carrying them around) so our 1st stroller was big enough for 1 pup but not great for trails etc. our 2nd is a lil bigger and can hold up to 25lbs with the benefits of the single giant front wheel(perfect for trails), the last one I bought is my fave it’s perfect size for both my pups(could easily hold a 3rd) it’s all terrain, and it’s the prettiest shade of dark pink!! Worth every penny!!
You did it- you actually got one :0 Matilda looks thrilled with it, totally worth it for a happy puppers. It great to see her getting out again, she definitely seems like she loved it. Always love seeing a vid of your dogs, especially Matilda she’s such a sweet girl
Have one of these for my parents chugs, they are getting old and one of them has wonky legs and gets tired easily, still able to go wander at the park with the younger dog, then back in the pusher for a rest. Best thing ever. Glad you got one for Matilda 💜
The dog prams are great for elderly and disabled dogs I have one of my chihuahua crosses broke her foot and had it pinned back together ever since she can't walk that far so I use a pram for her. Mine looks like a crate on wheels 😁🐶👍
with so many chihuahua owners stressing their pets out, it’s so refreshing, and sadly “odd”, to see toby just acting like a normal dog. playing and hogging toys, rolling in stuff and just being a dog
so glad to see Matilda still happy and loved! and what a wonderful mum she has, too 💙 many pet owners wouldn't do this for their elderly dogs, especially not when you're not sure how much longer they have with you. she seems to appreciate the extra mile taken towards making sure she's comfortable and included 💙 best wishes for you all!!
We recently had to move our 16 year old indoor/outdoor cat inside permanently due to squamice cell carcinoma, so I definitley understand the struggle to give your pet a good quality of life while following vet instructions. Obviously, I wanted my parents to move her inside because of the danger to her and the environment, but the way we had to do it was quite sudden and non-ideal and she hasn't adjusted well. We're looking into catio options right now. The things we do for our pets! But it's only fair that when they provide us with so much love, we provide them with the best life we can in return.
Pet strollers are so useful. I have a 3 legged chihuahua and she gets tired so much quicker than my other dogs and the pram means I don't have to carry her in my arms. Plus it doubles as storage for treats and water and stuff we need. It's also useful in busy places because it's hard enough walking a small dog that ignorant people don't see and almost step on, but with a tripaw they aren't able move as quickly to avoid people. The hate dog prams get us understandable for able dogs but we shouldn't be shunned for giving our less able dogs the rest they need.
There's an older guy who walks his dog in a stroller on my campus and feeds the crows, and as far as I'm concerned he is an icon. Reads as less crazy dog lady more sweet pet parent.
I had a 60 pound dog I got like a child’s bike stroller for when his health got bad so he could continue to have his nightly walk. I spooked more than one pizza delivery guy that way lol
My mum had an old dog she used to have to carry on walks. People in their yards would yell out at us. Just for fun I walked past the same people carrying my 2 year old 25kg border collie in my arms 😂
I do not recommend using a collar while going on walks, if the dog runs away from you in the leash it can choke. I would recommend using a harness instead. But apart from that I love you, your animals and your care videos
I seem to have the opposite problem of most people. I get subbed th channels I've never seen before out if nowhere and don't realize it until they appear in my recommendations. IDK if I got included in a bot sub thing where people buy subs or what. I don't mind it in this case at least.
Honestly, it's kinda like when people get really old and need a wheelchair since they can't walk around as much due to mobility issues or (like in Matilda's case) heart problems.
Sadly we can't get a pram for our dog a she is to big and we are thinking about having her put down in a coup, e years because she can't walk far without hurting herself or getup without hurting or go up or down stairs luckily in three years she will be 13 which is her livespan so we are hoping she will live til then so she can at least live her livespan and her back legs are constantly giving up and she will just fall and really hurt herself(start limping) we don't want her to have to live like that unesaseraly just because we love her
Getting mocked on the neighborhood is such a small price to pay for giving my dog the happiness and life quality he deserves! GO, MATILDA, GOOOOO!
I'm no trying to be mean, no, but Matilda is a she, not a he.-
@@Someperson12532 i think they were taking about their own dog since “giving MY dog hapiness (…) HE deserves.” /genuine

I’ve recently got one from a charity shop in case my elderly dog needs one in the future!

a few years ago our elderly rescue passed, but she was very on and off too and loved hiking and she loved the stroller

I NEED TO SHIELD THE CUTENESS
Aww love this. When my cat got really old I got her a stroller too. She kind of liked it but she did not want to be in there for long 😭🤍
The love you have for your pets is just so wholesome and inspiring. Matilda is looking like she's having a great time!

Awh I'm so glad Matilda likes the new stroller walks 🥰 and Toby's just there like a tiny tornado 🌪️😂
I have a pet stroller too. I use it for my 3 cats to get them all to the vet as I dont have a car but can take the bus and train there.
So nice to see Matilda is doing a bit better
You're such a good dog owner ❤
I'm so glad she enjoyed it! She looks so happy!
Awww my dog has the same stroller! I always get compliments when I walk him around and he LOVES it
I got a stroller to safety walk my rescue brachy dog. Turns out he wants to walk, take a break, then walk more and Maltese mix wants to ride in it. 🤦😂
i swear all malteses love these strollers!!
*Everyone liked that*
(she genuinely looks so happy omgg)
Awww I love Toby’s little zoomies ^^
such a sweet video, i think she really appricated being included
There's an older guy who walks his dog in a stroller on my campus and feeds the crows, and as far as I'm concerned he is an icon. Reads as less crazy dog lady more sweet pet parent.
She seems to really enjoy it and sits so nicely in her stroller. ❤️
omg your dogs are both so, so cute! I'm glad the stroller worked out for your elderly dog.
this was very wholesome and heartwarming thank you
They also make dog backpack carriers which might be easier to pack for adventures
omg thats so cute i love how matilda is just sitting there 😊 there
Awwww your so nice to ur animals
So sweet
Ur dogs r adorable
I had a 60 pound dog I got like a child’s bike stroller for when his health got bad so he could continue to have his nightly walk. I spooked more than one pizza delivery guy that way lol
Legend has it that Toby still has the zoomies
This is so cute! And thoughtful even tho I bet the neighbours are gonna give her weird looks but happiness does come at a cost
ZOOMIES 😂😂😂
So cute 😌
soda pets I am so happy that they are youtubers like you watching someone taking care of there dog in this way makes me happy :]

your an amazing dog owner shes so cute
Awwww so cute
This is so cute! I feel so happy for him :3
My dog that used to have a injured leg has this we dont use it as much anymore only when its a long one and there tired
I do not recommend using a collar while going on walks, if the dog runs away from you in the leash it can choke. I would recommend using a harness instead. But apart from that I love you, your animals and your care videos
She is wearing a harness, you can see me detach the lead from the harness at the end of the video
My dog is 10 and has seizures but he doesn’t have them all the time last time he had one was a couple months ago
It's weird, I was just looking for one for my dog too since he injured his leg and isn't allowed to go on walks or be active.
Cute💜

To everyone who may be mean about this
She's a old girl, she deserves to be rolled around!
Good idea to get a stroller for her though
Honestly, it's kinda like when people get really old and need a wheelchair since they can't walk around as much due to mobility issues or (like in Matilda's case) heart problems.

Awww how old are they? And by the way I love your house!

I know this may not be the best video to ask on but I have to, how easy and cheap is it to have an axolotl as a pet?
And was snake discovery right on their video?
