I spend over $4,000 on new tanks for my sailboat project replacing the rusted steel and cracked plastic fuel tanks with 1/4 inch aluminum tanks.

Thanks for your reply. I look forward to seeing your progress. I ran across a TH-cam channel called Animagraffs in which one of the videos was how a 16th century explorer sailing ship was constructed from the ship framing to the rigging. Interestingly names of today's sailboats use some of the same names. He even shows how the term Knot came to be. Looking forward to your next posting.

I wondered how you were going to get those fuel tanks in there. A lot of muscle power.. Can you give us a little history of the sailboat. When it was made, what kind of trip hays it been on, that would be interesting. Is the albatross a fiberglass boat and who was the manufacturer of the boat.

She’s got a very interesting history and some great stories which I’ll save for a future video
But she’s a 1978 Ted brewer designed CCC 45. Originally, a number were built of wood as the PACIFIC 42 (LOA:43.5'). Then built of fiberglass with a slight stern extension as PACIFIC 45, BREWER 45, CCC 45, THREE SEAS 45, WEATHERLY 45.
I’m not 100% on who the builders were, but “Cory’s custom carpentry” comes up often enough when I try to do any digging. My model is pure fiberglass almost an inch thick just about everywhere (thicker below the water line) which I’m very happy about. Whoever built it did a fantastic job.
