Great videos ( parts 1 + 2 ) .... That first night looked brutally cold! Fair play to you! ... Excellent editing, really enjoyable and relaxing videos.... I can't believe you haven't got lots more subscribers and thousands more views... I appreciate the wor you put in to produce these vlogs.... Liked & subbed... Thanks for taking me along on the journey 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for viewing and your comment. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the editing - it's one of my favourite parts of doing these videos. Still got a lot to learn and improve on - but your feedback gives me the incentive to keep trying.
Interesting place. It's 25 miles cycle from me but I'm not a big fan of roads. My house to Thornbury is ok but after that, I'm not confident. Attenborough reserve in Nottingham is lovely to cycle through and car free.
I will avoid roads at all costs if I can! Even if it means pushing the bike through very muddy areas (see part 1!) I preview the route on Street View and try and find ways around difficult areas - don't mind if that adds a few miles. Thornbury's a bit further out from where I went...probably uphill too. You don't have any rail options either sadly. If you can cycle down to Oldbury-on-Severn, you should be able to make your way through the lanes like I did. If you do it on a nice long summer's day, you can slowly take in all the little villages along the way. I'll add Attenborough reserve to my list of places to visit! Thank you! 🙂
@@WildBikeCamper I look at streetview as well. Might catch the bus to Thornbury with the folding bike. I saw someone wild camp near Oldbury power station right on the river. Must have been on the Severn way so I might go look when it stops raining and wind. A scout of the route before the spring.
I was planning on walking past Olbbury originally but the conditions are just too poor. I'd personally avoid camping too near Severn Way until things dry up...but I did see some pretty fantastic options around Purton and the Ship Graveyard - including one bench overlooking the river which was on a large area of flat ground - perfect for pitching. If I'm back in the area - I'm going there...!

Wetlands are so important! I am enjoying watching this. Looks very cold though!
Thank you for watching - the effort made getting there was so worth it.
@@WildBikeCamper I find this can often be the case.

It's a really crappy day here in Crumarthen so I'm loving this bimble whilst sat on my large, unhealthy butt under my warm blankie! Diolch🏴
Appreciate the views and comments - glad you enjoyed my little wander. I thoroughly loved it there.
