By 1912 in Australia there had been been 30 films produced of 'feature length'. with the first being made in 1906.
This is what bothers me. It seems like the history of "american" cinema is the history of (universal) cinema, but it isn´t.

Actually, The Story of the Kelly Gang was the first feature film.
when you search up the story of the Kelly gang, it says that it was released in 1906.
