Join Fy Nyth on social media - mewe.com/i/fynyth ! If you are new to my channel and Fy Nyth (Welsh for "My Nest") in general, welcome! I'm Ariel. Along with my husband Clay, our dogs, cats, bees, and some poultry, we live in a tiny house on wheels in the mountains of western Wyoming and are working on setting into our own new little homestead. I've been living this lifestyle since 2014 and my wonderful partner has joined me more recently. What will you find if you follow the channel and watch the videos?
Real life here. I try to show the good and the bad. The ups and the downs. What works, and what doesn't. The parts I love (most of it!), and the things that suck. Not just the showroom version of a tiny house, but everyday life in a tiny house. Not just the romantic idea of "homesteading" or off grid life, but the everyday details of this lifestyle. We split wood for heat, fill the water tank from a gravity fed spring, and attempt to grow as much of our own food as possible between the weather and wildlife here. I hope to help others learn from mistakes and make life just a little easier for anyone else interested in pursuing a similar lifestyle.
We live in a somewhat harsh and cold climate, but enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife that we are surrounded by on a daily basis. You'll also see videos of the nature and wildlife around my home. If you are interested in my photography or purchasing a photo, I'd love if you follow that over at mewe.com/join/... or ArielCelestePhotography.zenfolio.com!

I am enjoying watching your farmstead come together--seeing the shed that looks like a barn in the background--the plantings and everything there--all seems so well thought out and not just designed for practicality but also with attention to aesthetics. Thank you for sharing the journey.

Thanks for showing the actual concrete flowing into the forms. As many of these pours I’ve watched on TH-cam, this is the first where I was able to see how it actually looks. It’s pretty cool.

Really enjoy watching ya'll build your house. I built a 1080 sq ft 40yrs ago as a single mom. Have never wanted a big house. Can not understand the waste, Huband, grandson and I still live in the home.

Amen to that. Never wanted a huge house either. Besides being more to clean, cool or heat. It is a waste.

Wow look at your home coming together.! What a blessing! What and will you be showing what you're going to do in case water gets into the root cellar? Curious if you were going to do something similar to what "Off-Grid with Doug and Stacy" did in their Root Cellar. Are there any other options you considered? They also used the foam board. Seems like this might be a really good product to use. Will you shate how much it cost for just the Rootcellar and how much you saved by doing 90% of the work yourselves. I know it's a lot of work but so gratifying to build your own home. Just like growing your own food. You know exactly what happened during the growing process. Glad your brother could lend a hand. Looking forward to the next phase. The Nanas from Central Florida growing in buckets

Are you going to leave the living area you made in your pole barn? Or will you use those cabinets etc. in your house? Not sure you said home many sq. feet this house will be. We retired into 1600 sq. feet with same size basement. It is plenty big.

Very interesting! Just wondering, are cellars common in Wyoming? I've lived in CA. and OR the majority of my life, with brief forays in WA, NM, WY, NE, and TX . The only place we had a cellar was in WA. If I could build a dream house it for sure would have a cellar!
