Bama fan here. Congrats wolves fans, that defense is no joke!
It's a great defense. Hats off.
Would love a Bama rematch, but Bama could never understand how to snap the ball this year. And that hurt them.
Protection didn't help either but I would expect a challenge there with that Mich front 7.
Your linebacker play greatly influenced our linebacker play in this game. Your linebackers rule see you next year.
Washington Congratulated for making it to the championship and welcome to the BIG TEN! You are joining a division of excellence and we are looking forward to seeing you in our new Big Ten!
Your all class bama fan!
Really like Greg McElroy. He’s always fair and not biased.
Defense travels. Well done Michigan. I think Minter should be considered for Asst. Coach of the Year.
I think a lot of teams will be studying this Minter defense after this season. The stunts, deceptive looks, aggressive man coverage to the lines, personnel group change ups and even the rare specialized blitz duties picked up coming from anywhere. The guy had something different for every down.
Im a huge bama fan, and even I was rooting for the wolves. What a defense.

Common error when it comes to the national championship total for Michigan....
This victory over Washington marks Michigan's 11th National Championship.
It's understandable, as the NCAA even gets it wrong....
But contrary to the narrative, Michigan....not Notre Dame....was the national champion in 1947.
Back then, 445 sportswriters voted for the national champion. Both Michigan and Notre Dame ended the 1947 regular season undefeated. Despite the fact that Michigan had beaten three common opponents by much broader margins, the sportswriters voted Notre Dame national champions.
But Notre Dame didn't play in bowl games, and Michigan as B1G champ went on to play an additional game against USC in the Rose Bowl.
The Wolverines thrashed the Trojans 49-0, and the sportswriters agreed to vote again in light of Michigan's stunning performance.
On the second vote, they voted 226-119 that Michigan was indeed the best team in college football in 1947.
I have no idea why the NCAA has for so long refused to acknowledge the final vote and amend the record. But Michigan rightly claims the national championship of 1947.
What a season. Best I’ve ever seen. Michigan gets it done. Let’s run it back next year
I’m mentally preparing for a 7-5 floor next year lol
@@charlescrissey7245 I’m feeling 9-3 and back in the playoff
@@g.t.phillips7759 I’m guessing 10-2, but it depends on who leaves and whatnot.
@@charlescrissey7245with our SOS we could still be top 8-10 even with two losses

Kudos to Michigan. You are without doubt the best team. THE Champion. Now we all await Jim Harbaugh's decision. Quickly ESPN sign the Harbaugh family to a podcast contract.
thanks Greg! You are one of the few that gave UMich a chance
Michigan has 12 now was 11
They will always try to jewe us on our nattys. We are the best!
Congrats to UM.
We Boaed them. UW is awesome too. Go BLU.
Washington quaterback couldn't plant his foot in second half he had to throw from his front foot. The Michigan Defence was after him all game. GO CHAMPIONSHIP BLUE!!!!!!
Go blue!! Best National champ ever
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 not even best of the Playoff era
12th National Championship not 10
Michigan was the sole National Champion in 1997, let's be honest about it. They won the AP poll and would have won the Coaches Poll if one, embittered, coach from a certain southern team hadn't voted them 8th in the poll just to screw them. That vote corrupted the Coaches Poll, so it should be discarded in deciding who the National Champion was. There were four National Champion trophies given that year and Michigan received three of them.
...couldn' be happier for Harbaugh, had to put up w/ all kinds of s---, congrats.
I don't think the holding call was bad. But it was kind of weak if you consider the other holds they let go. But overall the officials were letting them play and only calling what was obvious and hard to ignore. The fact that the Michigan player fell as a result, to me, is what made that one obvious enough to have to call. The last thing the officials wanted to do was box themselves in by calling everything so strictly that any missed calls would be highly criticized, or worse they start calling things that are so weak the game almost becomes unwatchable.
That was holding. Maybe not a bad holding. But it was holding.
Go Blue.
This game was lost in the Sugar Bowl definitively. This is why you take the knee especially when your back as already injured.
Also with that holding call in real game speed it's the hand placement and maybe it was a bit ticky tacky but it did affect the play as Penix would have taken a hit. Hand placement is so important for this reason. Also Washington's o-line was under duress all game so it's just perception at the end of the day.
Refs late hit call on Washington’s TE was trash.
What late hit call?
Yeah, and that's after J.J McCarthy got pounded with late hits against Tide with NO CALLS!
A little surprised that Greg didn't stay on script a little better...spent more time talking about what Washington didn't do and should have done than what Michigan actually did. And then turn it into a "What will Harbaugh do next" thing...kind of weird...good grief.
I saw several calls on both sides that looked sketchy,so what .
That’s why I did not have much issue with it. The reason McCarthy only had 140 passing was because defensive holding was rarely called
breaking, google it "NCAA president says Michigan earned football national title 'fair and square'" Say it with me say it!
How was that a bad call he grabbed the face mask and help him to not give up the easy sack
An elite defense and subpar QB play won a title… I thought the committee deemed that to not be a recipe for success?
Sub par? They ran for 300 yards they didn't need McCarthy to do anything but he certainly could have. And don't compare Michigan's defense to Florida st., totally different class.
63-3
McCarthy was literally the mvp of the rose bowl dummy
@@blankname6629 The “dummy” here is whoever thought that 10 completions for 140 yards warranted an MVP trophy. Give it to one of the RB’s. Dude is just a game manager.
@@GuthboxYour mom is just a D manager....
Washington fans should be thanking Michigan coaches for two awful offensive series in the 1st half that kept them I. The game. If Michigan runs the ball the game is over in the 1st half.
Michigan has 12 National Championships, not 10.
I’m not a Georgia fan but feel like they would have won the championship if it would have been a 12 team field this year.
No. They would get beaten by bama again. If not Michigan would’ve handled them
Congrats UM, luckily yall got one without having to go thru the real Dawgs
Couldnt beat Bama lol
We beat BAMA who beat you in prime form that’s better than a head to head because we get the honor of defeating PRIME SABAN.
Beat bama then, you know the team you lost to?
Bama's OL dominated UGA's DL and y'all let Milroe dice you up lol
Michigan would’ve handled the real dawgs
Congrats Jim, 9 seasons to win a championship impressive
How many teams have won the natty in those 9 years ? Ya 🤡 I’ll take a natty every nine years all day lol
The refs all second half were pretty terrible
Typical losing sports team fan blaming the refs for the loss. From a Wisconsin Badgers fan.
The refs were bad on both sides. So who cares it did not determine the game because it was bad for both teams
This guy (Greg) is obnoxious
Penix was at the worse I've seen him perform. Out of sync is an understatement for his "normal" as I saw it ! -- He was awful - by 'his' standards. -- Just wasn't in the cards yet W did a great job getting to this point. They were very good. - - - - - Harbaugh is history ! Without question he will end up like Pete Carroll in the NFL -- WHEN -- the 💩hits the fan in Ann Arbor !!! The FBI is there also - snooping around - likely assisting the NCAA (real or imagined) for the UM to get what's coming to them for this cheating BS ((under Harbaugh)) - and - by the rules - he is '''responsible''' if he knew or not !?! -- Expect sanctions of some magnitude (?) - likely wins vacated during Stallions tenure - perhaps a loss of scholarships for a few seasons - hefty fines & perhaps any committed players allowed to transfer immediately......... 😥 USC & PENN ST come to mind ?
The FBI is for the computer access crime j*ck*ss
You write delusional fan fiction to cope? 😂
@@bk6555 🤣 That's reality mister ! 55 years worth of experience here - I have no need ''to cope'' with anything. -?- That's exactly how the NCAA - 'rolls' !

Oh geez, it's like none of us watched the game and just saw scores and were like, "Michigan is really good". And then saw a headline that said they stole signs and were like, "but they're ChEaTeRs!!!". As opposed to the people who watched with their own eyes those players and coaches putting together an excellent game plan and executing the plays.
They certainly cheated defeat lol.
No

The real reason for the Harbaugh witch-hunt was his support of better reimbursement packages for the PLAYERS, NCAA is trying to keep the kids in indentured servitude, plain and simple... M was no different than any other major college program.
