    Same reasons why we bought a 2024 QX60. We looked at almost all the cars in this class and non luxery ones. We kept going back to the QX60

    We have this exact vehicle and truly enjoy it’s attributes. Like you, did not need a sporty drive in a SUV, but rather comfort and ease. No matter what one chooses in a vehicle there are always trade offs.
    p.s. The “carbon fiber “ is actually open pore oak.

    Tim, thanks for reviewing this SUV! We are looking for a replacement for my wife’s 2008 Highlander and this may just fit that bill.

    The QX-60 top trim is definitely a great looking machine. My knocks against it are: no adaptive suspension, sub-300hp engine.

      @6769nate ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Owning an Acura with adaptive suspension was the worst. Goes out quickly and 4k to replace in parts alone. Same with the zr2

    It’s a pretty bold pick in general meaning that I don’t think many would agree, but considering that you guys haven’t driven that many luxury mid-size SUVs this year it’s a good choice.

    Getting away from GM. I've had only brand new Yukon Denalis for 20+ years.....just got so badly burned by warranty (dealer even showed me GM internal policies....oh god).......so for first time in my life, looking at imports. I sat in an Autograph last week. And I shit you not, in 1 minute, I felt like I was sitting inside the lobby of Ritz Carlton Central Park. It was so damn luxurious. Wow - I've been missing out.

    You can use regular gas no problems. Mine is 2015, and I have always put regular gas, and never have problem. I uses reg. gas also on my MB E350, and Lincoln Navigator.

    I dont have a pickup, but have been interested in gmc Yukon with diesel, but the new model of diesel thats in your Silverado isnt yet in the yukon. I don't knownwhy .. do i wait for lz0 update if they do it? Ir get used one with older version diesel.
    I need the three row and covered back, or I'd get the Sierra AT4 disel .. thoughts ?

    • @Pickuptrucktalk

      LM2 is still a good diesel. Nothing wrong with it.

    Does anyone know how the reliability has been so far on the 2022 and 2023s? The engine is tried and true, but what about the electronics, transmission, and other things? I recently saw on TH-cam that the new Pathfinder had a lot of electrical problems. I know these care are built in different factories, but should I be concerned?

    • @DesertRailProductions
      @DesertRailProductions ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is a nissan product.... so their are a few reliability issues. This is one of the more reliable engines though. If your into it, you should be fine for quite a while. Don't take my word for granted though, their are a few unexpected things that can happen.

      No surprise. It’s a passion for you to hate on Toyota/Lexus.

      @naveenthemachine ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arhamkhakwani5851 lol they have nothing to offer in the space. Believe me. If the RX were remotely as nice as the lc500 and they used their own RWD platform for their cars and increased the performance and used the 5.0L v8 it would be easy
      Remember Lexus is the luxury brand of the worlds largest automaker. If anything they have so much money that they should be able to invest in a RWD platform just for Lexus. If genesis and Acura can do that why can’t Lexus?

    • @arhamkhakwani5851
      @arhamkhakwani5851 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@naveenthemachine if they had nothing to offer whatsoever, then why are they selling so much? You make a good case for investing into a RWD platform, but if the past has told Lexus anything, is that any application with the 5.0 V8 hasn’t sold remarkably well.
      Lexus and Toyota have all the monkey to invest into vehicle specific platform, but when they are out-selling the RWD-based competitors, specifically RX, then why bother the switch?

      @@arhamkhakwani5851 I don’t think they’re outselling the x5 are they?
      I know the x5 outsells the gx. And I’m sure the grand Cherokee also outsells the RX

    • @arhamkhakwani5851
      @arhamkhakwani5851 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@naveenthemachine both of which have different types of customers. A person won’t be buying a X5 for its off-road capability in comparison to a GX. A Grand Cherokee is more off-road than luxury in comparison to a RX, and once again appeal to different people.
      However, what I meant to say was that they outsell in general. Look at something more comparable. RX and MDX. Two luxury SUVs. One with 2 rows once available with a third and then the MDX. If the MDX is THAT much better than the MDX for the past however many years you say, why hasn’t the MDX overthrown the RX?
