It's my first time getting a vivo device, vivo x100, and I'm actually very impressed with it comapred to what the competition from samsung and apple are offering, especially the camera!!
so a 7.4x emulated zoom at 50MP resolution or a 14.8x at 12.5MP, nice! The most megapixel count sensor was S22 Ultra at 10MP on 10x optical zoom (but aperture and sensor size way smaller)
I already know the ultra is much better, because when I watched the comparison between Vivo X100 PRO and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the Xiaomi was better, even at night. But a new video just came out (search for "Vivo X100 Ultra vs Xiaomi 14 Ultra Detailed Camera Comparison!"), and you can see that the Vivo wins VERY easily. Best "photophone" of 2024, and it's going to be hard to top it.

I bought it on last week, and I'm amazed by the quality of photos. The Vivo X100 ULtra is the best smartphone (for photos) of 2024. I even prefer Origin OS to FunTouch OS. It is easy to install the Play store and it works well. I really love my X100 Ultra

Vivo is really something else. Extraordinary. They go even further with capability of Periscoped Camera and Main camera with Gimbal OiS which is very nice to have!

If you are looking for the best camera Vivo x100 ultra is the winner in a large margin. Vivo x100 ultra battery will last up to 15 hours of hard core gaming, taking pictures and videos all day. The only problem of buying x100 ultra that is made only for Chinese people if if your phone encounter a hardware problem like lcd panel replacement and other hardware component , there is no way for you to fix it, since its not release globally there will no parts available in your country. But if you love to take pictures and videos go for vivo x100 pro or x100 ultra.

As a Vivox100pro user of funtouch OS...when I switch to a different app the brightness all of a sudden increase and it hurts my eyes . And the grid lines in the camera when taking a photo ...the lines are so faint ..hard to see in daylight scenes .. another downside is ...the images file size of raw mode..is very low ..it seems compared to iphone and Samsung...vivo does not generate a large file size image ..
*S24 was never the best at anything besides having a stylus. DXOmark camera, battery life RLU, Antutu 10 + Geekbench 6 average, you name it. Other androids have better performance in either of the aforementioned results and are way cheaper too. iPhone 15 has iOS and other people prefer it over android so it doesn't really count. Only ones buying scamsung these days are the ones that don't know there are way better phones out there and are just fooled by the brand name.*
I am really happy with how much network reception I get on this x100ultra phone!! When I was using my Samsung S22U and I am at my dad's house, or even my house, I would get maybe 2 bars of 4g network. At my dad's house I might even get 1 bar of network (I am with Telstra, the best Telecom in Australia) But on the x100u, I get 5 full 5g reception! What the hell! My dad lives in a semi country area and I thought Telstra installed a new tower somewhere, hence why I got 5g. I freaking love this phone just from that alone! 😂 I don't know why Samsung phones have bad network reception... I'm never going back to Samsung again. Also the camera is really nice and fast!!! No shutter lag here like the Samsung.

I'm pretty sure MrWhostheboss or somebody said earlier this year that the S24 Ultra has bad reception. I can't remember who said it and I was like so it's not just my Telcom, it's freaking Samsung lol. I work away in the Mines where there is bad reception and I'm heading back there this coming Monday so I'm keen to see how good this phone is there. Watching YT there is a nightmare lol.

One of the best camera!!!! just insane no doubt! but what takes the cake for me is the smooth transitions between lenses. This has been the main drawbacks for android phones. They finally was able to fix it!

Single core normal Multi 6200 Phone was always in normal temperature.. I had same problem with Oppo X7 ultra..I don't know how I manage in the end to have 6500 Thank you for your comment.. There are other great phones out there, but the reason i stick with samsung is because i can trade it in for almost $800 on a new samsung on my plan every 2 years. With these other phones like these you cant do that

The X100 Ultra is a small step up from the X100 Pro but this phone is way better than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (it's main competitor) from image stability from shot after shot after shot, brighter & much improved quality comparing to Leica where you need to be a true photographer to "cApTUre tHE MoMeNt" or you will get hazy days everyday or so 😂 but there is still human focusing issue due. to AI detecting need to be fixed in the next software update.
They have great phones. As a personal preference, i will prefer this than iphone. my only comment is labeling. Also Their design is good but just need more refinement.
information about vivo X100 pro is completly wrong, it has 64mpx sensor with 70mm periscope so its 3x optical zoom. vivo artificially limits limits its however to crop 50mpx from center which makes it 100mm (4.3x), but effective size of sensor is 1/2.51" then. You combined 100mm with 1/2", this is simply not true -you have confirmation of this in vivo x100 pro official specs site if you look at disclaimers in footer. FYI Xiaomi does the same fake telephoto specs, their "50mpx 3x telephoto" in Xiaomi 14 is actually cropped in 2x optical zoom, thats why RAW photos have 8mpx after binning instead of 12mpx (so 32mpx before binning).
Only the telephoto Camera on Vivo is better, it makes more detailed photos at long range cuz it's 200MP Xiaomi is better in dark photos, microphone, looks, foto kit I have the Xiaomi

There are other great phones out there, but the reason i stick with samsung is because i can trade it in for almost $800 on a new samsung on my plan every 2 years. With these other phones like these you cant do that

The X100 Ultra is a small step up from the X100 Pro but this phone is way better than the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (it's main competitor) from image stability from shot after shot after shot, brighter & much improved quality comparing to Leica where you need to be a true photographer to "cApTUre tHE MoMeNt" or you will get hazy days everyday or so 😂 but there is still human focusing issue due. to AI detecting need to be fixed in the next software update.

information about vivo X100 pro is completly wrong, it has 64mpx sensor with 70mm periscope so its 3x optical zoom. vivo artificially limits limits its however to crop 50mpx from center which makes it 100mm (4.3x), but effective size of sensor is 1/2.51" then. You combined 100mm with 1/2", this is simply not true -you have confirmation of this in vivo x100 pro official specs site if you look at disclaimers in footer.
FYI Xiaomi does the same fake telephoto specs, their "50mpx 3x telephoto" in Xiaomi 14 is actually cropped in 2x optical zoom, thats why RAW photos have 8mpx after binning instead of 12mpx (so 32mpx before binning).
