Usually when paying via PayPal it takes the next available working day before payments are cleared into the sellers account if transactions were made over the weekend he should have known this before sending out the package in other words it’s his fault not yours.
We have all had our fair share of dealing with bozos on eBay but this is another level lmfao
If I don't hear back from anyone in 8 hours or longer, I'm going to assume they're friends with yardsaledale1 and Jacob R.

Funny thing to me is if there was anyone who had a reason to sue from the previous video it was YardSaleDale lol. As Jacob stated the fact he just randomly got put up as a villian made the video. Dale since he didn't have a chance to get his story out for that video could have sued for defamation ( though I would think that would be pushing it, especially for an internet video but I guess that would also go to show how influential Jacob has become). But he didn't and reached out like a professional to give his side of the story.
I will also add seller 69 states he has been selling for 20 years, but if he is getting nothing but pranksters ( by his standards) then I would assume that just means he is really bad at business if those are the main types of clientele he is pulling in.

Have to agree with Skrunkge. While people do expect a message to be returned within a specific time ( depending on the context). I don't think most people would go off the hinge and assume automatically it's a troll after only a few hours, especially around a holiday lol.
I said in another comment, but I could understand at least after a day or so and then trying to reach out about interest / payment lol.
I mean even on TH-cam comments people can understand if they get a reply from a conversation with a specific user some time later. People don't just assume " oh this person hasn't responded to my counter after 3 hours. That means I win and they didn't have anything to say". Or will call them crazy if they don't respond till the next day, because most people understand that others have different things going on in their life.
If that guy truly suffers from anxiety as much as he claims then maybe he needs to take a step away from the computer and go on a walk or something else to distract and take weight off his mind.

@@josephyepez877It was harassment. The buyer, by eBay policy, has up to 4 days to pay. If the seller doesn't agree to those terms, they can't sell on eBay. Continuously sending messages with no reply is harassment.

@@josephyepez877 eBay allows four days for payment, the seller has no right to be demanding payment before that time is up. Doing it only a few hours after, in a rude and aggressive manner is just completely unacceptable behavior. If he insists on being that impatient, rude, and reliant on harassment to get his way, he shouldn't be on eBay.

I had one recently where after just less than 2 days a buyer canceled my purchases. I sent them a message explaining the situation, they re-listed the items at the price I was willing to pay (based on my auction bid), I snapped them up, paid straight away, all good.

Closest story I have that was crazy on eBay was I sold an expensive pair of Jordans to an international buyer in Canada that went through eBay authentication and the buyer claimed they fell apart after hiking in them (hiking in Jordan’s?). His pictures were clearly not the same pair as there were many differences of the damaged shoes versus what I sent, luckily since they were authenticated by eBay I did not have to refund the buyer. Had other occasions where buyers harvested parts from working items and returned them, those get me as it’s very difficult to prove at times, luckily those experiences are few in comparison to all the smooth eBay transactions, but they can ruin a day

He probably needed it for weed money or something. I paid an extra $100 for a boxed copy of Dragon Warrior just to get it faster, so I mean, really.

eBay really attracts the worst of the worst. As a buyer things have generally been pretty smooth besides the occasional person that takes forever to send something and keeps bringing up their life story about why they can’t ship it out. As a seller of electronics I’ve constantly battled people using forwarding services to ship items to other counties, almost every time it happens I get an angry message and bad review from the buyer saying their item was damaged or never came just to find out it was the forwarding companies fault.
Same issue here I have a shipping damages rate of 30% and it’s not fraud

Probably got so blindly pissed about him not accepting the offer right away, he was desperately going for reverse psychology, which obviously didn't work for him.
My main question is: How is this guy still an eBay seller after all this time if he gets this pissy with people not buying his items the second they get the opportunity to do so? You'd think multiple reports would've gotten him banned off the platform, but I guess most people don't bother reporting apparently.

A person who's been on ebay since 2000 should know about eBay's policies and the four corners of a purchase contract. Accusing you of nonpayment only five hours after the auction's end is crazy. Why wouldn't you stay logged into ebay and hit the refresh button every few seconds while staring at the screen? It's called having a life.
edit: Also, any real lawyer would know from the evidence that he was in the wrong, so he'd probably get laughed out of the mediation, if any. It's kinda like that guy that called the police to report that his marijuana was stolen in a humor book I read over 20 years ago.
To be honest, and just playing devils advocate, all of this could have been avoided if you had just replied to any of his messages reassuring him you were going to pay when you got home. I am not defending his actions, but I feel that your youtuber story creating brain was seeing dollar signs instead of just being human first. Just my opinion.
He's also locked one of the videos behind a paywall and only showed us a small clip hoping we will be baited into paying to see it all.

Is this seller's ebay name publicly available? I just want to know so I can make sure to never do business with them. I typically pay immediately or within a few hours if I'm able to, but if someone can freak out this easily about payment and treats other people this poorly I don't want anything to do with them.
There's bound to be so many people that you've come across that you most likely done business with who may be secretly more vile than this particular eBay seller. I'd say don't worry about it and if you want to be more careful, just read all of their feedback and hope for the best.

It's also worth noting that there is something called the "clean hands" clause. Although it's used fairly rarely, (the only recent case I know of involves a woman who got sued by a developer that built a house illegally on her land- not the plot he was supposed to.) He sued her, but his hands weren't clean & she won (countersuit) against him. In this case, if you knowingly do something that is illegal, immoral, or unethical; with regards to your conduct, dealings or contract He could end up proving to the court that he was in the wrong, which could also open up the avenue for you to sue him, not including anything awarded during your initial countersuit defending his action.
I had the "pleasure" to deal with some bozos on eBay in 15 years or so of me selling/buying stuff, and yes people can be a pain in the arse some days. But bro, don’t overreact, you have tools to report to eBay bad buyers or sellers. Or just block them. No need to harass people by message or so, chill out

This definitely looks like mental health issues. I feel like this guy would have been harassing about instant payment even without the incident with yardsaledale1. That just fed into paranoia and sent him off the deep end with a whole made up conspiracy to rant about.
I don't fault yardsaledale1 for calling this guy out over the unhinged rant, because that did appear to be a inappropriately aggressive and rude attempt to get a lower price. But the people that decided to respond back to this nut should have just taken the warning and left it alone.
eBay seller needs to learn some patience. He sounds very impatient and rude. That's not a good way to run a business if you talk to your customers that way. He also sounds very paranoid. He made some broad sweeping assumptions and that led him into this mess.

This is a wild interaction and i really hope that guys life turns around. The way it was handled is not great and i hope if things are really pushing him to that level that they calm down and he finds himself in a better place. Stress makes people act in weird ways but thats not an excuse and i hope he takes time to reflect and find the root of these actions because stress is not it.

I remember recieving a collectible off Ebay and it arrived damaged so i told the seller (i didn't ask for a refund or money off it, still left 5 stars and a good review i just told him to package better for his future customers) an he replyed back with lots of insults an telling me he knows my address and is coming to burn my house down, i messaged Ebay and they said they don't police the private messages and not to bother them again with it 😵💫

Auctions now offer immediate pay, based on your highest bid it attaches a credit card or PayPal to it. Just had it happen with a piece of sports memorabilia I was bidding on.
