Bruh that tall tale was so damn annoying to play though. Yeah I agree the setting was really cool, but with the amount of glitches and how unnecessarily long and tedious some of the fights are it just makes me not want to play it again.

no i think not, its the story of the siren king being bound by the ancients in chains when he approached them and then being tortured or killed off. The queen mourns her king's demise, i mean the kraken is related to the sirens, like the current kraken being called 'my daughter' by the siren queen, therefore i see no reason due to which the siren queen would help in the binding of the old mother.
I remember the first time I did the tall tail and as the black pearl was revealed the song reached the "bound in chains forever" part and it gave me chills
I remember swimming down and hearing 1:53, and it was perfectly timed with the whole place lighting up and you see the ship and all the coral and caves around it. It was absolutely beautiful.

I was going down to the deep with my friend, as this started playing, him and I stopped what we were doing and we listened. In the distance cannons were firing, they were muffled which boosted the feeling of the scene. The Song of the Deep.
I remember my friend and i finally was able to get back on the game a week after this came up and we were swimming down. And we were astonished. Swimming down with glowinf bio-luminescent life and swimming past sunken planks deeper and deeper until we finally realized. Wait- were not drowing. This took a bit for us to figure out how to breathe underwater.
Once you get to the third tall tale of the thing, there is a nice reference to the community in the tavern. How it says we can be pirates and good people, the devs out that in there for a reason, and it is nice. The community on release day stopped all killing, reapers didn't kill, everyone just had a good time, it was great
chief i wish this was true but it blatantly just isn’t. a lot of people took the opportunity to sink those who left their boats above the second tall tale, and those who would go down just to fight others - i don’t really mind it because it’s a game with pvp so not expecting it is dumb imo . . but to say no one killed, is a lie.

Yeah but one story goes that the crys of the old mother as she slowly starved, is what drove them mad. And if it was magical, like the shrouded one, that could have had massive effects on the sirens minds, if lt wasn't what changed them in the first place.
What if sirens were never evil? what if they sing to communicate and just wanted to show sailors their world but didn't know they couldn't breathe underwater cause they look so similar to their kind. but due to the missing sailors, and the few who came back scared of an unknown creature luring sailors to their death, they started being hunted?
That is similar to the lore what happened is the siren king went up to make peace with the ancients but the tribe killed him and bound his soul to his remains and chained them up so it made the queen vengeful and angry so she killed sailors and in the demarco mystery ending the pirate lord says "i cane here once before to make peace with the sirens" but they were already to hurt and angry for peace

I cried. This whole chapter was fantastic , but this song while swimming down to the ocean floor was absolutely amazing.
