Rodents absolutely HATE mint. We grow mint in our yard and they won't go near it. If we want to keep them away from a plant they love we just clip some mint. They used to eat the cords under our ride on lawnmower. We threw a bunch of mint underneath it in the shed and it stopped them from doing it again.
I love it, very comfortable...I like tying eclectic items together...stuffed animals are fun...hospital corners, brings back memories of being a cna before I got my nursing degree, still made beds 😊, now they have fitted sheets....just had a wonderful idea, I need a skirt for my old cast iron bed, thinking of using valances now, ty, Sarah for sharing...u remind me of being a beautiful child of God, thankful and blessed, being a steward of the world spaces around u...prayers for your continued success ❤

Shopping at the thrift store, if I find something I like but don't have the right setup for it, I'll try to use it differently and still get to enjoy it. I found some Iris beside the road 1 day. I always kept a sheet of plastic in my trunk, so I pulled over, put the plastic down in my trunk & grabbed the flowers. I planted them & about 17 years later they are still going strong. 😊

Thank you! My home is an "upgrade" from where I was living before. It's been a wonderful home for me. I try to make the most out of what I have and am on the lookout for free things at the dump, discounted items at the thrift store and do buy new things on occasion. They all work together to help make a cozy home!

Thank you! The trench was not hard to dig out, I just did a little at a time. Waited for the rain to come and seen how the water flowed. Then went back out to dig any stagnant areas. I'm going to work on the rear of the trailer more, and will try to show how I set up the "drainage". I'll probably have to put something down to prevent overgrowth of weeds, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I'm glad you enjoyed my living room tour! I love the new pattern curtains. I think adding blue like the color of your table would look so adorable. That would bring everything together perfectly instead of the black.
I love the curtain set up. It looks so good with the chair and since it’s getting cooler, it will be a good thing for winter. I love watching your shows because I live in a trailer and it gives me ideas ,❤❤ but I wish I had a smaller trailer like yours, mines just too much to clean. I’m getting older.

Sometimes too much space can mean a lot of upkeep and cleaning and all. Small can be nice and it's like instant-cozy because of the size!
I love your little home. You are such an inspiration to me & will continue to be as I make my move in next month or so. All my linens come from thrift stores also. I don't have a washer or dryer. But when I go wash at Laundromat, I never dry my things. I always come home & use my drying racks. Heck majority of things in my life come from thrift stores, garage sales,etc by choice. Thank you very much! Thrift store finds are often higher quality items than I could find brand new. Vintage items especially seem built to last. I love thrifting! Buying linens has been a blessing to save on costs. I hope you can get ahold of a small portable washer to make laundry easier! It saves money using drying racks! I do the same thing. I love sheets that snap when you shake them 😊 When I was a nurse back in the day, we learned that's how you make bed corners because hospitals used to not have fitted sheets. Now days most hospitals have fitted sheets.
I like a crisp sheet, too! I don't mind using a flat sheet around my mattress. It works just as good, maybe even better than a fitted sheet! I'm gonna use what I got.

Great tour. I drink herbal tea every evening too. Usually lemon balm and nettle. Tea time here is about 7pm. Loved your bedding set up. Very cozy. All my bedding is from thrift stores too. I have several options and mix and match with nice pillow shams 🤗
Thank you! I love drinking tea, especially chamomile. I have fun thrift store shopping for bedding. There's something fun about making it work with what is found. It doesn't have to be perfect, but turns out just right!

Thanks for the tour. I just thought I'd mention that the ergonomic seat cushion, on the chair to the left of the tv, should be turned around with the cut out hole to the back, positioned under the spine or tail bone when you sit down. 😊 Ps. If you ever get access to pebbles or gravel, you can fill your trench with them. The water will still drain .
Thank you for letting me know about the ergonomic cushion! I still have work to do outside on the trench. I may add the gravel or pebbles to it! I'm glad I dug it out before Summer. When it gets in the 90's, it's just too hot for me to do this kind of work!
@CareFreeLivingChannel I completely understand. I'm just coming to the end of summer in Australia, and I have a large garden that I can only work in early or late in the day becauseif the heat. I'vehad a lot if drainage problems when we get heavy rain too. I hope the trenches work well and redirect the water successfully for you.
The trench is working well so far! I dug up some weeds yesterday. I got to the root with some, but the larger established weeds were just too deep into the ground to fully extract. Gardening in Australia must be very, very hot there! I hope to build a nice garden over the years. I love nature!
I enjoyed the tour! I myself could not have all the little tables and shelves etc with stuff on them, I dont like bric a brac I am "plants and pictures and books" only! and I personally would put that little t.v on the table diagonally in the corner just like where you have the picture in the corner (of Jesus) and do away with that chest the t.v was on....lol, but I do have a suggestion....those trenches you dug for drainage outside should have some gravel in them, you can get bags of it at any hardware/nursery for not much. And show us after you get those day lily's in the ground!
I know what you mean! Space fills up quickly with "little items". I have an idea for the TV but that's gonna be a future video. Thank you for your suggestion on adding gravel to the outside. My trailer receives a lot of "run off" water and it sits for a long time, the drainage should help. Have a great day!
Good question! I'm not sure where the rug was originally purchased at. I've had it about 15 years. If I had full sun in the living room, you'd be able to see the "royal blue" color pop more. It's a pretty piece!

I went to A Christian Book Store and they had the most beautiful tapestries and pictures, so pretty but too expensive. I went to Good Will but I got side tracked got a moo moo. Have decided probably give it too helping hands with some other clothing. I noticed the moo moo had some defects but maybe someone can get good use ..I like to give to helping hands because they do not charge people in need. So I was also looking for Psalm 23 picture. I love to do counted cross stitch so I found some patterns on the internet.❤ Did you do all the manual labor in your mobile home or did you hire help? I know that they require work like plumbing, heating, under pinning etc. I hadn't started from the beginning of your channel. So sorry for Jabbering. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!💚🍀💚
Thank you very much! I've had the picture of Jesus for over 20 years. It was given to me rolled up, with slight damage to the edges. I had it framed at the mall. I look at Him every day and enjoy the contemplation shown in the picture. I would like to learn how to cross stitch, that would be fun! The work on my mobile home was done by my significant other and another skilled tradesman. I did the cleaning. They did everything else. I have been very lucky with the HVAC unit, it's from 1999 and works pretty good. There are times the heat won't kick on, but it eventually does. The AC works fantastic. Thanks for the tour. I just thought I'd mention that the ergonomic seat cushion, on the chair to the left of the tv, should be turned around with the cut out hole to the back, positioned under the spine or tail bone when you sit down. 😊
Ps. If you ever get access to pebbles or gravel, you can fill your trench with them. The water will still drain .
Thank you for letting me know about the ergonomic cushion! I still have work to do outside on the trench. I may add the gravel or pebbles to it! I'm glad I dug it out before Summer. When it gets in the 90's, it's just too hot for me to do this kind of work!
@CareFreeLivingChannel I completely understand. I'm just coming to the end of summer in Australia, and I have a large garden that I can only work in early or late in the day becauseif the heat. I'vehad a lot if drainage problems when we get heavy rain too. I hope the trenches work well and redirect the water successfully for you.
The trench is working well so far! I dug up some weeds yesterday. I got to the root with some, but the larger established weeds were just too deep into the ground to fully extract. Gardening in Australia must be very, very hot there! I hope to build a nice garden over the years. I love nature!

I enjoyed the tour! I myself could not have all the little tables and shelves etc with stuff on them, I dont like bric a brac I am "plants and pictures and books" only! and I personally would put that little t.v on the table diagonally in the corner just like where you have the picture in the corner (of Jesus) and do away with that chest the t.v was on....lol, but I do have a suggestion....those trenches you dug for drainage outside should have some gravel in them, you can get bags of it at any hardware/nursery for not much. And show us after you get those day lily's in the ground!
I know what you mean! Space fills up quickly with "little items". I have an idea for the TV but that's gonna be a future video. Thank you for your suggestion on adding gravel to the outside. My trailer receives a lot of "run off" water and it sits for a long time, the drainage should help. Have a great day!

Good question! I'm not sure where the rug was originally purchased at. I've had it about 15 years. If I had full sun in the living room, you'd be able to see the "royal blue" color pop more. It's a pretty piece!

Have decided probably give it too helping hands with some other clothing. I noticed the moo moo had some defects but maybe someone can get good use ..I like to give to helping hands because they do not charge people in need. So I was also looking for Psalm 23 picture. I love to do counted cross stitch so I found some patterns on the internet.❤ Did you do all the manual labor in your mobile home or did you hire help? Thank you very much! I've had the picture of Jesus for over 20 years. It was given to me rolled up, with slight damage to the edges. I had it framed at the mall. I look at Him every day and enjoy the contemplation shown in the picture. I would like to learn how to cross stitch, that would be fun! The work on my mobile home was done by my significant other and another skilled tradesman. I did the cleaning. They did everything else. I have been very lucky with the HVAC unit, it's from 1999 and works pretty good. There are times the heat won't kick on, but it eventually does. The AC works fantastic.
