      @@autumnandchloe I would love if people would recognize that same "optical illusion" when they're driving and feel they need to see that they're far from the centre-line --- meanwhile their passenger side wheels are in the lane beside them. Bit of a pet-peeve of mine, but you've given a great example of it with a fantastic view!

    Did anyone see that big black bug crawling on the left side cushion when she was showing how she did her table cushions toward end ? Right by the brown throw pillow I believe. Hi Autumn! Your homes really beautiful now and you really got the nomad thing down pat!. A little bit of white vinegar in any urinal type storage kills any odour, I used to use it in the drainage
    tray of my bunny rabbits litter box and some people use it in their caravan toilets with much success!. It looks beautiful where you are parked at the moment,aren't you so happy now you embarked on this lifestyle, it's wicked isn't it!. No rent or big utilities bills with million dollar views and peace and quiet, nomads are the envy of a lot of people trapped in mortgages and 9-5 jobs. Little bits of rust are quite easy to repair and we'll within your abilities if you check out the tutorials on utube. It's 34c here today and summer is truly on the way!. I always loved the American Christmas time in the winter with all the snow ,in movies etc. Here we can only buy fake snow in a can to spray our Christmas trees with lol! Nice talking to you again and seeing your pretty smile as always, take care and enjoy your fairy tale lifestyle!. Bye Chloe!.

    Thank you for the updated tour. I don't use the plumbing in my class b either. Water line repairs were the first thing after tires and suspension. I have been using the class b, but have not been using the plumbing. I may take it all out if I decide to keep the rig after next summer. Being only part time and having a camping and backpacking background I just layer up and use old style hot water bottles, but the heated socks are tempting. I don't keep my homebase really warm in winter or cool in the summer. I worked a career mostly outdoors, so I can acclimate. It has been decades since I was up on the rim. I bet in late fall it is not crowded. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. Blessings.

    Thanks for the grand tour! I love how you’re so detailed with sharing the nitty gritty bit of the museum putty and such. I’ve not heard of that.
    You also mentioned how cold it gets in there. Might I suggest you look up rv skirting on a web search? Perhaps you’ve already explored the thought. But if not, skirting is one of the best ways to insulate your rig while it’s parked anywhere, for any length of time, especially in the cold climates. I made my own last winter from sheets of insulation panels from Home Depot for less than $100. It looked like trash, but I was parked in one place all winter and didn’t care about the appearance. It kept the cold wind out from under the my floor, making it easier to heat my space. My rig is in storage this year, as I’m wintering on the road in a tractor trailer.
    But back to the point, rv skirting can be professionally made from a canvas material and measured to snap onto the bottom of the vehicle. Set up and tear down would be pretty quick, too,

    • @autumnandchloe
      @autumnandchloe  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! I didn’t realize there is snap skirting. I’ve currently traveled to warmer weather, but this is a great tip! It’s something that would have been especially useful last year when I was living out of the industrial yard. Happy travels to you this winter! 🚐

    Hey Ms. Autmn! How's it going? I think it would be relatively easy for you to have a Chinese diesel heater installed in your rig, possibly using existing ac duct work in your rig. You should seriously consider it, I think you will be really happy with it.

      Hi there! I think this is a GREAT suggestion, and it’s been something I’ve been considering myself. Do you happen to know if one diesel heater would be enough for 216 sq feet? I’ve been wondering if I’d need two.

      @@autumnandchloeas a truck driver for nearly 30 years, and an rv and boat enthusiast, Webasto is the brand name I’ve relied on for heating my trucks during the extreme -30° winter weather that I’ve been in. They have a website and several service centers to set you up and install it professionally and correctly. (Not sponsored, just a very happy user of their product.) They have more than one model, so you’ll need to look at their website and maybe call them when you’re ready. I cannot recommend it enough. Add a skirt to your rig (mentioned in my other comment), and you should have a MUCH better and warmer winter.

    Excellent video very honest, informative and extremely practical as well as alternatives for dinner or whatever as it relates to RV living. And your insight with living in a car first and you progressed to your current vehicle is so progressive.
    I've got a medium sized truck and I looked at all kinds of things, I'm looking at a Pro-Lite evasion 17 ft travel trailer. I would get a used one for sure if there are around.
    For a new ones they're like 28k. I definitely want to get that price down but they're really nice travel trailers very light and not taxing on the vehicle. You could pull it with your car. Check it out if you get a chance.

    I bought some museum putty off of Amazon after you mentioned it on an earlier video. Be careful with the rust on that large propane tank under your vehicle. I’d paint that with a rust converter/encapsulating primer followed with a white topcoat paint. Once rust starts iron bacteria will accelerate the rusting and create pinhole leaks, so you want to shut down that rusting process. Did you hear that as of Januart 1, 2025 class A and C RVs cannot be sold in CA, OR, WA, MA, NY, and NJ? Hopefully that law will be changed soon after January 20th. I enjoy your videos and enthusiasm!

      @@autumnandchloe Fox61 reporter Katrina Morgan wrote an update about the situation yesterday ("States banning RVs in 2025?"). It's complicated but basically "they are implementing regulations that will require manufacturers to sell more zero-emission vehicles, which the RV Industry Association predicts will negatively impact the availability of new RVs in those states. . . [Apparently] it doesn’t apply to models already on the lots or used RVs, and companies can purchase credits to get around the rules - but manufacturers say the lack of compliant production materials could impact overall availability.
      The RV Industry Association says some manufacturers that aren’t able to meet the annual standards for zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) sales might stop selling any new RVs in states with the regulations. . . Manufacturers who do not sell enough zero-emission vehicles can still sell regular vehicles through a credit system, but the credits "are likely to be expensive on the open market and would add another layer of cost to producing a motorhome with a combustion engine chassis,” the Association adds. . . RV industry says there aren’t enough compliant parts -
      The RV Industry Association argues that the regulation would have an impact on the availability of new motorhomes in those six states because there are no compliant chassis."

      Wait, I see you have that Jackery. That should power up a little heater. Do you have any solar to charge that Jackery? That should be an easy and cheap fix. You could use portable solar panels. I am sure you could get them for free by getting a sponsor for those things.

    • @MTNurse
      @MTNurse 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      OK, I was responding before watching the entire video. 🙂 So you have all the things to be able to use a heater. Is the problem that it gets too cold at times for a little heater to be enough to heat the entire RV?

    • @autumnandchloe
      @autumnandchloe  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi there! I do have several forms of heat in the RV… the main (propane guzzling) heater that came with the RV. I do use this when it’s super-cold, but it takes so much propane and electricity that I aim to avoid it. I also have the Wave 6 catalytic heater. This gives me a headache after a couple hours due to omitting CO. I also use hot-hands and heated clothing when possible. I do love cold weather - but I recently hit my threshold in the single digits. I appreciate your comments! 🙂

    The way you present everything in your RV you'd think you were watching one of them gals from The Price is Right. You somehow managed to make museum putty & a sink full of dirty dishes look glamorous. Someone at Winnebago needs to pick up the phone and work out a sponsorship deal.

    All that recycled food that went to waste into a garbage bag stored in a plastic tote.

      Hi Bert! Alas, plastic is a necessary part of the nomad life - but I am open to hearing some alternate ideas that would keep the mice out. 🙂
