I ordered one of these, and one off Etsy. So now I have about 20 axes LOL

I've got the small one you have there and one that's like the bigger one only with a longer handle. I've had the big one about 18 months now. Magnificent, quality axes.

Hey glad TH-cam recommended you. Us small TH-camrs have to stick together, especially us axe guys. I bought one of their splitters awhile back for a giveaway. I was impressed with the forging and sheath, but my God was that handle thicc! I think the handle weighed as much as the head lol. But as far as sheaths go, I think it’s the best production sheath I’ve seen. Nice bench. Subbed!

🤣 Definitely a thick handle. Sheath is nicely made, the only thing that I've found that on some axe heads the strap isn't tight enough, allowing it to ride up, resulting in the the sheath being able to come off. I did bring it up, to the guys at Bison, so hopefully will be remedied. An easy fix just moving popper a tad forward on sheaths.

Glad you have a line to them. Get them to sort out those handles some. My god! Lol

Wow they look decent, how come I have never heard of them? Nice little introduction mate. Thank you for showing us some quality axes that aren't made in Sweden.

Hi, First off! Great overview of the hatchet and video. I am a bit of an axe and hatchet collector and outdoor enthusiast. I have yet to find this Bison hunters hatchet available for shipping to Norway. Do you have any tips on websites that sells this?
    With regards
    Emil

Hi Emil, thanks for watching. As your in Norway, your best bet I think would be ordering from the forge in Germany. Here's a link to their website. www.bison-werkzeuge.de/

Was curious if you have had your hands on the new mountain hatchet yet? 23 in handle and a 1.76lb head seems like it will be a fantastic Bush or pack axe

Haven't got my hands on one yet, looks like a really good axe. The head shape definitely has some advantages. Probably a tad too long for me, but would love it round my HQ camp.

Just bought one today here in the States and it looks like a great little axe/hatchet!

Is that the same as Oberharzer? It has same dimensions. I have it. It's a good axe all around. Well built, well ground profile. Two faults maybe (same as above!) Handle way too thick especially at the top, sheath a bit loose and will fall off. It could easily be strapped around the beard rather than the handle and would be better for it.

It is all down to snobbery! They think Gransfors is be all end all. Hultafors, Gransfors, Husqvarna, Hults bruks are all made by same company. Wetterlings made GB axes. They were bought out by GB' who wanted their brand to be best seller. The price has doubled in several years. Supply and demand. TH-cam warriors are to blame. Husqvarna and Hultafors, Hults bruks are the same axes. Husqvarna are not finished the same as forestry workers will not pay silly amounts for tools, they just want a tool. Hultafors have doubled in price recently. This is again greed. There are alot of good axe firms out there . That hunters hatchet is a tidy tool. Great for carving. Put a 20° edge on it and it will be perfect for that, as is any good rhineland hatchet.

It's difficult to hear what you are saying. Perhaps turn up the volume on the video a bit. Good job.
