Another amazing video! I like my council tool flying fox. It is fun to throw after you replace the handle.

Yeah I really like council tools axes. I wish they would change their handle on some models though. I bet that flying fox on another handle would be awesome

Very cool! We've got another 3" of snow coming this afternoon! It's putting halt to my axe play! That's on top of the 10" to 12" we have on the ground now!🤣🤣🤣 Keep making the great and informative videos!

I lived in MO for awhile. The most snow I’ve ever seen. Never knew Missouri got that much snow. We only get a few inches here in VA near the coast. I will say it’s been oddly mild here this year. I just wish it would stop raining haha. Hope you’re able to get out soon and get a break from the snow

I don't expect a new axe to be sharp. I do appreciate it when they grind it enough that I can just put an edge on it in less than an hour and get to work. I think getting a profiled differently hardened bit and a reasonably slimmed handle for $65 is a good deal. The hardware store axes run between $25-$45 and are imported from places that don't exactly specialize in axe making, if you have a lot of them to pick though the Collins boys axes can be found with a decent handle, but I have definitely seen a few terrible handles and terrible hangs and the heads are just okay. The house brand at tractor supply is $22 but the handle is comically huge and the head which I believe is made in India or Pakistan doesn't seem to be ground much at all. It's more like a build your own axe kit than a finished product there is easily 2 handles worth of hickory in every handle and I don't know how that is cheaper to manufacture lol.
