  • Hey Everyone!
In todays episode we are continuing our rebuild of the tt's suspension. My focus today is to upgrade the front sway bar to an adjustable one. This ends up being easier said than done in 104°+ weather. This is the final part we need to install before we are ready to put on coilovers. I couldn't be more excited!
    Thank you for watching!

Good video once again, top tip is to use long needle nose pliers on those front sway bar brackets to just get the bolt started. I also struggled with them thinking I could hold them tight enough with my hand or push them tight with a screw driver.

Defo did this all in the exact opposite direction... Coils (HPA SHS) are unreal... lower controls in the rear got alinement back in check, but if I can really fine tune to eliminate that over steer I'll be real pleased... excited to see your results

Well done! I just discovered your channel and now I'm motivated to do the same thing to my MK1 225BHP to improve handling with my Race Land coilovers. Do you know of or could you recommend adjustable front lower control arms for MK1's if there are performance parts like that is the USA? Keep up the great work! I'm tune in.

    Great video man…
One thing I will mention is that those huge subframe bolts are torque to yield, so designed for one use only.
I am currently waiting on my M&S swaybars to arrive.
Im wondering if your standard drop link failed due the the 600% increase in the torsional stiffness of the rear swaybar.

Hey thanks for the support! That's a great point about those bolts. I had a new set on the way but didn't want to leave the car on jack stands all week in case I needed to re-park it. It's not really being driven until the coilovers and new hardware are all installed anyways. As far as the old end link, that could definitely have weakened it, but it unfortunately broke while I was adjusting it to the tighter setting. I had the new ones on the way anyways thankfully. That sounds like a great setup for your car by the way! Thank you again!

Thanks for putting this together. Great - and brutal - video in the heat that kept me inside watching videos. You should search Ian Mckellen sings Ducktails on YT - you look just like Hunter Davis who does the impersonation!

I hope you used new bolts on the subframe? As they are one time use stretch bolts.
