- A tutorial video explaining how to make a basic book cover using Microsoft Word 2013 that I made for my finals.

This is the best tutorial I've seen. I made my book cover while watching and learned so much. I didn't know Word had so many options. Now I just need to learn how to make the physical copy cover, for Create Space. Thank you so much for taking the time to help us.

Wow! Mandee, clear, concise instructions. Great job! I've been watching these videos for months now trying to learn how to use Photoshop to make a book cover to no avail. Thank you so much, Mandee, from Nigeria. Your teaching is cool. I had to go over it again and again and to practise it as well. My only challenge was the last part that has to do with removing the rough edges using shadows. I tried to do that many times with Word 2007, but the rough edges didn't blend well. I guess my Word lacks the feature for that. All the same, your teaching is superb. I can now head for the next stage of publishing my e-book

I appreciate your compliments. I also have to admit that I was better at making sure the different cuts of the video fit together. I took about 20 different segments because of stuttering, or simply not knowing what to say, and fused them together. I took a lot longer than what most people would have. It wasn't easy. Very nice and very helpful! I have published a few kindle e-books, but I can use more help with improving my cover designs. I am a MAC user too so I am not sure of all the things Word can do. Great Job!
