When the train passed the crosssing 3 times, every time, there are "new" cars waiting. Like that kind of detail to get the video entertaining. Nice layout too.

Very smooth. But two operating questions. First, what moves the turnouts - under-table machine or under-table manual control? Second, what do you use to uncouple? Sharp bamboo stick, a manufactured stick or magnets on a stick, other? Do you ever uncouple early, offset the heads and then push cars to the final spot?
Thanks Roger! As far as switch control, everything on the mainline has switch motors mainly because the mainline is CTC controlled by the dispatcher. All switches on the branchline are hand throw. The only exception is the switch from the mainline to the branch has a switch machine. To uncouple the cars I just use a sharp skewer. Thanks for the questions!

Hi! Yes, it’s seems logical however the local may have to spot loads and pull empties as they service each individual industry. To go pull all the empties first then come back to spot loads isn’t typically efficient especially when there is substantial distance between them. It all depends on the specific operating procedures and industry specific operations. Thanks for the comments!

I like how you overlayed the prototypical sound of the locos at TS 11:30 as it goes by. Adds that extra "depth" element. 👍👍

I noticed you include the loaded cars as you pulled the empties. Wouldn't you use less power pulling the empties then drop off the loaded cars?
