Thanks for sharing. Beautifully designed, this plugin is the one we’ve been waiting for when it comes to incorporating 3D people props into our models. 3D people are notoriously poly hogs for illustrating the functionality of SU creations but this plugin allows the use of a single 3D “person” standing, sitting, walking, painting etc for a little more than the file memory of a single entry. The only downside is that only purchasers of this plugin benefit. However IMHO if Trimble bought the plugin and built it into the pro version, it would be a substantial upgrade.
nice i like it but I also need to move two pieces at the same time from one hinge point is that even possible. I'm trying to move a two-piece folding truck ramp so i can get attachment points and hydraulic rod length figured out before the actual build.
Great for moving a robot, but it doesn't work to open a simple oven door: while the door is opened, through the hinge, it pulls, with a rod, the grid that slides on a rail. If I'm wrong, please, someone correct me.
Sounds like your model was not properly grouped for this kind of movement. In that case, the door and half of the hinge would be in one group, and the rest of the oven would be in another.
Hi awesome plugin, but i got a big question about it, the thing is before i try it i wanna know if you can do Slave joints? As an example a suspension double A arm , i need to be able to bring the complete wheel in a group with 1 arm the, but what about the other upper arm i its shorter, the wheel should follow and change into variable curve angle, not sure if i explained well im at work right now
ok allready tried it, it cant, it does not accept a group of components with two different pivot points at the same time, and there is no point in moving each part by itself to the same degree. i guess i will have to animate the hole thing anyway.. if someone have an idea how to do it with just simple rotation tools and save the time animating the hole thing i would aprecciate it, if someone have an opinion onto if im not doing something the correct way let me know, that way i could learn , well that is for know, cheers
Purchased Movable Joints v3.14 just today (2023-06-02). Wanted it to work, but on my i7 iMac with 64g-RAM under Catalina, running SU2021-pro, Movable Joints is really, really, slow and buggy. The interface is cryptic: extension buttons move around for no discernible reason when using the interface. Stuff doesn't seem to work right. If Movable Joints did tasks as expected then I would be fine with a clunky interface, but as it doesn't the clunky interface seems a symptom of sloppy code. Aaron got it to work in his demo, but when I watch the video closely, Movable Joints seems to go wonky here too. Maybe there is something Movable Joints doesn't like about my SU system, however I use 50+ other extensions without major issues.... Movable Joints is the exception. Perhaps v3.14 isn't compatible with my SU2021-pro ???. If a newer version fixes things I will gladly return and change my comment to be more positive. There is some indication a v3.20 exists, but I haven't found a download source.
Can you demonstrate how to make an animation with this? I'm guessing with scenes. This would be a fantastic extension if an animation setup could be built in. Then you REALLY got something!

That's really cool! Great extension.
Nice example, great review.Thanks!
this is a great and fun plugin hint !! and a nice model example as well !! ;-)
Woow, very useful! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing! Great review.
Thanks, Aron.
Nice work, great program!
Great stuff!
great extension! thanks
Really nice. I miss the old Sketchy Physics, but this will be sufficient and useful.
And quite a bit simpler!
Great review, thanks! If you guys have any questions or ideas, contact me on the extensions web page.
Great program!
Nice review and great program :)
great job!!!

Working on a model right now that contains drawers... will be cool to use the slider joints, so thanks!
Good job
Amazing
great extension, 1 question; can you delete these rotating lines?
I believe you would have to put the rotating lines on a separate tag and turn them off
Yes you can delete them. You can also use every edge from any other object just to show rotation/moving axis.
Great videos. Would something like this work for animating a moving model train around a curve keeping the wheels inline with the tracks
That would be cool!
Very nice. Must say that I miss Sketchy Physics. But this will do for now.
Good Job

Now all we need are key frames to animate it. With third party rendering apps support.
Great !

Great
Great video and your model! stop-motion Animation ...your joints search Hinged standoffs
It seems like they increased the price...
8$
I've changed the price a week ago, after adding a joint controls functionality. Aron showed an old extention page for previous version.
