I don't know how I've lived all this time without this!!!!

Men that really saves time on cutting my rafters out of my insulation, Thanks Eneroth and Arron for showing. Now only if you could select all the hairs (Rafters for me! ) on the bristle at ones and split, would save more time, instead of one by one . Something to think about Eneroth

Would be nice to see the native solid tool working this way. I always found the selection order unnatural. It would also make sense for the components to work the same way with solid tool operations as it does other edits.
Thank you for the Extension suggestion, brilliant call.
    Cheers

Went to get it and it said I am incomparable. It's for Sketchup Pro only. I run Sketchup 2017. You should have mentioned that REALLY important little tidbit.

I suggest you honor components in the native tools!

100% agree with you. Your skill in extension creation as a user is apparently not available at Trimble! Users have critical feedback, reward excellence inside or out, and make it happen in an upgrade.

Your ability to "see" rather than just look and look away is a great complement. Brilliant!

How does on trim a number of components? Is it possible? For example wooden boards in a wall panel below a sloping roof. I want the to remain as components as I then use Open Cut List to manage them for production.

Can you also show how to bend an acrylic transparent photo /document holder found in stationery shop using free extension, plugins or native tools, not unlike those that is available in other CAD programs sheet metal tools. Thanks!

How about keeping the same layer after being cut?

More curious to know how he made the bolt spiral. I know how to model a spiral, but that seems different :)

Thanks but your Solid Tools extension recommendation is a red herring for free users as it requires the Pro version to work

It's not any different than the native Solid Tools. For those hobbyists using SketchUp Make, you could use BoolTools2. It works in Make and like Eneroth Solid Tools, maintains the component thing.

Eneroth Solid Tools - much more smart than Solid Tools.
