Funny enough, the same date issue applies to 40K. The dates shown for the timeline are purely for Bureaucratic reasons and doesn’t reflect local time at all.
Interesting I remember reading the wiki about this centrum taking over twice a long to rotate around its sun as we do fascinating, I’ve played with the idea of creating a new calendar for a unified space faring civilization and this might be worth reworking though our odd day rotation period may make that difficult
@@UGNAvalon not exactly - is the central hour based on SI units? If it is, then the centran year is shorter than the Earth year - (368 Centran days) 8464 hours/Centran year vs (365 Terran days) 8760 hours/Terran year. (Approx. Calculations - happy to be corrected). That's relatively small difference for a year - 296 hrs, i.e. 12.33 Terran days. 30 ish years, and the calender drifts by an entire Terran year. And that's not taking into account all the idiosyncrasies of Centran orbit (is it 368 or 368.33 or something along those lines).
So if humans evolved on Centrum with very similar cultures (the main one being obviously UK based) despite the differences between it and earth (as well as it’s satellites and star system) is there other earth life or is it like Star Wars where it’s just humans and everything else is different?
The Union strikes me as the kind of nation to develop its own calendar based on Teldran's rotation and orbit and have day zero year zero be the day the revolution started
The revolution started on Maiala's Rest, not Teldrin. Although a 34.5 hour day might be a bit excessive, so I suppose they could use the Teldrin day instead, I'd imagine Teldrin (as a moon orbiting a gas giant) also has quite a long day.

I am absolutely floored by your world building. The Sojourn setting has equaled Anne McCaffery's Pern. I never thought that possible. Most Excellent!

Stardancer lore vid when?
Reminiscent of the Disc's calendar in it's complexity. Shame there's no Soul Cake Tuesday though.
Centrum's moons have a 2:3 resonance
Man, summers on Centrum must be LOOOOONG.
Ahhh the cruel gods that are mention are the writers!
Interesting and creative!
Very cool!
What is the most important thing in any world?
*TIME!*
I love the show and Iove the worldbuilding ❤
Yup. Rewatch was a good ideaa.
this needs a direct comparison to Earth years to make it easier, since people in the comments are arguing about it
I mean, a centran year/season is 368 days, so isn’t that enough? 🤷♂️
@@UGNAvalonis that a 24 hour earth day, or a centran day?
@@galwitprifor001 Well a Centran day is 23hrs long so... close enough?🤷♂

Incredible Video 👌👏
un muy interesante video, me aclaro las dudas🎉🎉🎉

This really should have been uploaded a long time ago, though I understand why that is the case
Interesting. So, one Centrum year is half an orbit?
