cheers for not spending the extra 💰 on dealer prices...i may add that if you’re investing into doing services yourself you should purchase quality tools, craftsman can be found everywhere and are quality!!! If you didn’t take out the snow guard when removing the old air filter it’s ok, but i would take it out if i were you as it may increase the sound of the turbo spool ...alos may produce a little hp gain.... also a little secret can be found near under thea or box located near the escaping turbo inlet spool hose side , their is a little hole designed to limit turbo induction noise ....plug it up and thank me later! cheers
@Oswald, if it's strictly the sound, I want to say the difference is slightly noticeable if you really pay attention. I personally don't think it will be worth the money for sound alone.
if you remove the snow guard located underneath the factory air filter, it’s plastic and can be pried out with a flat head screw driver, you will notice a sound difference
Japanese cars: 2 metal clips, no tools required. German cars: EIGHT Torx fasteners! lol.
You saved me some $$$$ dealer wanted $211 to change this filter and the cabin filter. I got both on amazon 😂

Great video! Just wanted to know the torx size! this helped!
I used the the same K&N filter and it stank up my interior. Switching to a WIX filter. No smell so far.
This is an engine air filter. You shouldn’t be smelling this air unless you have an exhaust leak.
Are you sure you’re not confusing the cabin filter with this one
Wat
What type and size of screw driver?
T25
is it worth the money in your opinion? I don't really care about performance, it's really just for the sound.
