If you go back and watch his rookie year and then this past year. It's crazy to see the improvement he made without having an off-season. Makes you feel like he definitely isn't maxed out as a qb, and he can still improve alot going into this year.
The Purdy haters and non believers either don't know football or just aren't 49ers fans. Brock purdy has done better than all my favorite QBs in his first season as a rookie. I believe in him and he will get even better. He led the entire NFL in accuracy and deep passing last season....y'all talk about arm strength well guess what..Brock is the one who led the NFL in those long deep AND accurate passes... especially during play action. Mahomes had 14 interceptions last year...more than Brock purdy and Brock had one of the worst OLINES in the league since he started. Facts. If he had jaylen hurts oline amd had all day to throw I can't even imagine the stats he'd put up. I still like jaylen for his heart but he's not better than Brock purdy right now or last season. Sure, there may be a season where Purdy suddenly doesn't play as good. It happens to the very best. Go back and research every Montana season...every young season...Garcia...etc...and you'll see just how special Brock purdy is... coming in outta nowhere having no idea he'd ever even start a game in the NFL. Mahomes has had 54 interceptions called back by refs. The next man who had the 2nd most called back is Josh Allen...at a staggering... seven....so yes imo mahomes is absolutely overrated. Hes entertaining but far from a goat quarterback. He wasn't good all regular season...in the playoffs or the Superbowl against the eagles and niners. Purdy and hurts were better. The 49ers kept Purdy as their 3rd string QB when they had already paid guaranteed money to Nate Sudfield. Shanahan before Purdy balled out actually talked about how they didn't want to risk cutting Purdy to try and bring him back for the practice squad because he had really impressed during the preseason and he knew that he would not make it back onto the practice squad. Some team would've definitely picked him up so they took the loss on guaranteed money to keep Purdy instead. Purdy impressed during the Dolphins game but that Buccaneers game is when a lot of people started to realize we may have something really special here. Following season he was in the MVP conversation and runner up. 49ers have been desperate to find their franchise QB and it seems we've finally found him. Those Purdy chants still give me chills to the day.
I saw the spark from the beginning, and these recent games have shown me that he really is great and will continue to be great. Jennings and Mason have followed with him, but a lot of others need to pick up the pace too
Been watching the 49ers and the NFL in general for over 3 decades. I don't think Purdy skeptics realize how rare it is for a 3rd string qb to take over a game and a season and play that well. When Lance went down, many fans thought the season was done, let alone when Jimmy G went down. When Purdy came in and played like he did, he gave the fans a lot of spark. That was a great season. He's been fun to watch ever since.
What a moment for dad.... to see your boy fight off all the pregame nerves, and go out there and perform (crush it) against a super-bowl caliber team, and tom brady himself... like how could it get any better.
The more I see of Brock Purdy, the more he reminds me of Tom Brady. He's composed, confident and accurate when throwing in the pocket and can scramble well and is typically pretty accurate when throwing on the run. I'm a life long KC Chiefs fan, but was very impressed with him in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. I'd say he's already a contender for the Hall of Fame, Mr. Irrelevant indeed!
When Purdy took the shot against Miami and hit Kittle across the middle I knew he was special. That play showed me the kid has the guts, fast mental processing ability, and accuracy needed to guide this team. Been a Purdy simp ever since. How can you watch that play, at full speed, and not go woah!!! That was badass!!

You forgot that Purdy wasn’t QB3 in camp but QB4 behind Nate Sudfeld who the 9ers brought in as a FA for 1m$. Purdy was widely expected to be cut for the 54 man roster. He was good enough to make front office eat 1m$ in crow before the first snap of the season. I remember the Vikings/9ers preseason game that year where Purdy made a couple throws that just shook me. It's always a good day when we get to see Brady throwing tantrums because he's being destroyed by Mr Irrelevant!!! People were hyping this game up as Brady's homecoming game that he couldn't be beaten in!!! If you are a 49ers fan, then that was absolutely priceless watching the very last pick in the draft out perform the so-called greatest of all time!!! There's only one team that has any chance of beating the 49ers, and that would be the 49ers themselves!!!
No problem with your opinion, I just don't agree. Allen doesn't process as fast and doesn't make the right decision as often. He is not as accurate when he throws and he often throws the ball too hard, making it hard to catch and sometimes uncatchable. He still throws too many interceptions on throws he should not be trying to make. He does scramble and run better than Purdy and he has better arm strength, but to me that is not enough to say he is better. Plus Allen hasn't won much of anything yet. HE is a better athlete, but I would still take Purdy over Allen.

Your best result might be a top-5 or 10 finish. If you are one of the best drivers on the track, and yours the fastest car on said track, then you'll be almost impossible to beat. It's not just because he's surrounded by a fantasy league player's wet-dream of talent on offense; he's also a great player himself -- one who elevates the play of those around him. To make a crude, but effective, analogy thru car racing: You can have the fastest car on the track, but if your skills as a driver aren't up to the level of the best drivers trying to win the race on that track, then you're likely not going to win that race. Your best result might be a top-5 or 10 finish. If you are one of the best drivers on the track, and yours the fastest car on said track, then you'll be almost impossible to beat. That perfectly illustrates how I feel about Brock Purdy: Yes, the car he's driving is the fastest and best-performing car on the track; but, he's also a damned good driver who intimately knows every strength and weakness of his vehicle down to the minutest of details -- his own, included
and still no rings 💀
Still did better but it’s called a team sport the penalties killed them and their mistakes other than that they would’ve won
@@TheItalianMafias 💀bro what you sound dumb he got hurt one year then lost in playoffs then lost in super bowl the niners are a fluke havent won a damn super bowl since 95💀 so how is that good please explain and wtf its always the excuses with you guys its either all your players out or the penalties like quit being so ignorant your teams ass
@@TheItalianMafias haven’t won a super bowl since 95 and your over here tryna say that shit is straight up wild
@@giovanniramirez-e9i how is that an excuse when it’s actually the cause of that the penalties like false start, holding, PI on defense, missed fg, INTs, injuries and etc. the way you said is fucken retarded ass fuck thinking that’s an excuse but really it’s not. They always beat themselves up a lot than the actual team
Alr first off all the glazing is crazy 1 of the most underrated qbs Kenny Pickett beet him in his rookie season......😂💀
did you call kenny pickett underrated
It's funny that he was compared to Matt Barkley, because Matt at one point, was compared to none other than Joe Montana.
He compared to Matt Barkley who should of been a 1st round pick if he decided not to go back to school for his senior season
2:59 w Handoff
😂😂 idk if anyone caught that hahah
THIS GAME WAS A JOE MONTANA GAME
You didn't even mention that the 9ers had signed Nate Sudfeld to a guaranteed contract and Purdy played well enough in TC/Pre-season that they cut Sudfeld and not Purdy.
Skylar Thompson has a A in his first name not an E
Bro forgot dak Prescott defeated him too💀
Great video and thank you for not using an idiotic AI voice.
Hi
ignoring his lisp LOL
So what did he do that's never gonna happen? 9 second mark.
I’m pretty sure there’s like 7 other QBs to beat Tom Brady there rookie year as well.
After that game Purdy hasn't really been doing well.
