This is what I get for watching out of order. LOL! Makes sense now why the pickup bed fit perfectly. Mine is 80" CA and I want to keep it that way. So, I have been watching people cut up long beds into shortys to get an idea of how to lengthen the pickup bed to a 10 footer. 😄
We appreciate you watching! I think there is a couple of ways you could approach building a 10ft bed. You could use a donor bed to cut a 2ft section out of to add in or depending on your budget, you could buy the panels aftermarket and graft in the extra two feet. Sounds like an awesome project! Lots of work but hopefully a lot of fun!
I'm building a 1982 K30 Dually flatbed standard cab with a 4" Skyjacker all spring lift. I noticed you took the overload mounts off the frame. I'm tempted to do the same, but sort of think they are not in the way so maybe just leave them. You will need to drop your sway bar or else it will bind when the suspension compresses. Offroad Design makes the best drop kit in my opinion. It corrects the geometry and offers the ability to disconnect the bar too. I'm enjoying watching your videos and progress!
Yeah we wanted a cleaner look for the frame. They bolt on so they could be put back on if need be. We will check out that drop kit! Thanks for watching!
All of my research states they had an inverted arch spring when new. Thats why when you go to a positive arch spring it usually ends up with the front-rear shackle hanger hitting into the frame, because the spring gets longer as it compresses instead of shorter like the stock inverted springs do

Cool truck
Thank you for watching!
Looks like the spring arch is going to be spot on. That's going to be a great looking square body for sure!✌🏻
Yeah, we definitely think Atlas nailed it on this one. It is going to be a sweet ride for sure!
Looking good! Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!

Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for watching!
You need to put a piece of iron on the inside bottom of the farm, so the only way it could distort is to crush the top of the frame !!!!!
Not a bad idea! Thanks for watching!
