Baldi's Basics - The Hidden Meaning (Baldi's Basics Theories)

  • There is a hidden meaning behind Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning which explains why Baldi's third question doesn't make any sense. It seems no matter what we do we are destined to always fail the 3rd math question in Baldi's Basic's in Education and Learning. In today's Baldis Basics theory we take a look at why this is and why 'Here School' is such a strange place. To do this we must look at the story behind the game and delve into the characters within it. This is an expansion of my original Baldi's Basics theory and also looks at Baldi's Field Trip.
You've been watching SuperHorrorBro Mike and this video was a new theory for horror game Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning. If you enjoyed this video remember to like, comment and subscribe for more horror related content and game theories.

So iit is highly likely that Baldi actually doesn't get angry when you get a problem wrong, but the player perceives him as angry? As in, Baldi's just trying to get to them to help them.

As someone with mid-functioning autism, I have been in numerous special education programs. I'm going to break down a couple things.
    1. Bright colors are usually a bad idea, especially if there's a lot of them. Me and a lot of other people with autism become overstimulated when we're shown numerous bright colors. The best way I can describe it is when you're practically shaken awake, and you're forced to get ready extremely quickly. You feel sick, you're disoriented. You're hearts racing and you feel like you can't breathe right.
    2. For the math problems, that happens regardless. I don't dyslexia even, but reading anything most of the time makes it a blur, as if I'm reading it while flying past it.
That's all I could think of. I honestly loved this video. Thanks for going in depth on this, and actually reading comments!

You can also make the observation that a lot of special needs centers often engage in physical punishment for “acting up”. It’s a well documented, disgusting thing, and it could explain the ruler slapping that Baldi constantly threatens on the player as SOON as they get one question wrong. So, it’s possible it’s all in the players head, but it’s also possible that the punishment they’re fearing is real, and the abuse they have no control over will come for them.

I actually used to go to a Special Ed school. It covered 1st to 8th grade. I was only there during my middle years. While there are a good amount of similarities. Honestly, there were times if a child acted up too much, they would either get restrained (to keep them from hurting themselves or others, but it was like a bear hug) or "checked out" where they had to be in an isolated room with just a tumbling pad, a desk and a chair until they calm down. I can understand how someone with a mental disorder may see those as something scary, or being punished. Not to mention anxiety itself. But one biggest problem with the theory, from my perspective, is the camping trip. 1) while there were field trips that were either later, or smaller, I dont think they ever took just 1 student, 2-3 at the least. 2) the teachers were NEVER alone with a student, unless the student is 100% comfortable with them, with the MC clearly is not. Also, while the MC could have number dyslexia, I think it may also be likely to have a form of Autism.
    1) not good with social situations especially crowds- the looks and interactions with other students
    2) they can perfectly understand written and verbal language though, dont seem to speak themselves and may sometimes misinterpret things.
    3) Collecting the notebooks could be a sign of fixation
And this may just be a coincidence but my younger brother who has Aspergers still draws and writes like that in his 20s. It would also explain why the simpler problems ate easier, while harder questions make no sense. But that's just my theory

My theory: the player had an abusive math teacher, who would slap any kid who got one single question wrong with a ruler. One day, the player got almost all of the questions on a test wrong, due to stress and trauma. The teacher got super angry and hit the player really hard with the ruler on the head, putting them in a coma. Baldi is meant to represent that teacher, the “students” and 1 prize are meant to represent the player’s classmates, and Principal is supposed to represent….well…..the principal, who was kind of on the abusive teacher’s side.

This is actually a great theory! But I just have one question. What about the secret ending? I mean, I've had experiences with autistic kids, and yeah, they would get into serious trouble but they would never be sent to the principals office unless they caused harm to another student or themselves. And what about the missing file character in the office as well? Is that another teacher? I'm not hating or anything, I'm just suggesting an idea for you to work on. That's all.

I'd like to argue that you only find bright colours in Special Ed Schools because the Secondary School (UK High School) I did my GCSEs at had a bright orange frontage over the Main Entrance which contrasted with the mossy green and slate grey exterior. Basically, this was their way of saying "Look at us, we stand out!"

  • @lolamistly5405
    @lolamistly5405 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

At first I was kinda hmmmmm as someone whos been to multiple special ed schools but by the end I agree that you can see the game as a metaphor for how awful it feels to be a special needs student in school, especially in a special ed class that unfortunately doesn't fit your specific needs. Honestly regular is already extremely hard but not having your needs met even in special programs comes with a deep rooted shame especially when you're a young kid.

Great Theory, and for the bully, he may have Down Syndrome. Most people with Down Syndrome tend to be overweight and sometimes get possessive of objects that they have taken from others that do not belong to them. Also, disabled students used to be more segregated from normal schools and classes than they are now. Classroom inclusion has sure come a long way! Well anyways, that's my thoughts on the bully!

I have been diagnosed with dyslexia and things never get as bad as this game. I mean sometimes you can think you are going crazy cause you would swear that you read something one way and then you go back to it and it is something different. One of the major problems is that dyslexics think pretty much completely differently than regular people as we don't usually have an internal narrator speaking our thoughts in our head it is mostly images or if we are trying to think quickly just nothing but a flow of completed ideas. Language is a major problem because many words necessary to clearly deliver information don't have images associated with them so that cause information to scramble in our brains as they are basically invalid inputs. Numbers can be problematic if you can't imagine the number in some shape or way. Once you figure out some tricks to bypass these stumbling blocks dyslexia turns into a major benefit because you can think through things quicker because as the saying goes a picture is worth a 1000 words

That explains why I like this game so much, as I too have dyscalculia. It was so hard to explain to those teaching me that the numbers were 'wiggling' on the paper and my head physically hurt from not understanding how numbers functioned when it came to basic subtraction and borrowing.
Sadly, I didn't get diagnosed until I was in college and spent a good chunk of my life scraping by in math with Ds and C-s, getting called stupid and stubborn by most I went to for help. However, I did manage to get a teacher when I was a senior (grade 12) that helped me understand the parts of math I'd struggled with for years; it was like a switch had flipped and the numbers stopped trying to wiggle away from me because I could understand the question before me. : )

In the early 90s, disabilities like that didn't really have programs for learning. We were all grouped together without any care. This game was exactly how I felt. The questions look like what I remember. You feel stupid and like the teacher hates you. I panicked alot and would often cry easily. The students teased me and would laugh at me. I was bullied freqently, I still feel stupid to this day and I'm in my 30s now. This game freaks me out...bad memories.

And the way it says "Gotta sweep sweep sweep!" Could be the way at least the player would imagine a janitor saying "excuse me, I have to sweep here" but in a more aggressive manner because what I'm told is often perceived as more confusing and aggressive than it really is

If you look at the story (which has very bad spelling but is still managable to read), you learn that this is not a school day and you’re just getting some notebooks your friend forgot. Which explains why the school is empty, and is not a special ed school.

I'd like to extend upon your theory and present this alternative to explain the actions of Baldi:
Baldi is getting impatient with the player's disability and is hitting them with a ruler every time they make a mistake or take too long to answer, or in thr case of the field trip when the player is unable to do the basic task of keeping the fire going.
A little more dark of a theory with a special ED teacher physically abusing a child with a learning disability.

I'd rather keep it the normal way that baldi is helping the student in reality

I saw this in a comment once. So lemme cnp it:
    So here is the story:
Filename_2 was a person that is trapped in the game. Baldi is truly evil because if you see the story, he says that if you answers all his question correctly, you get a prize. Which giving the player a reason to play. But Filename_2 helps you by distorting the question, so it makes sense that Baldi is angry when you answer his question wrong. And if you got the first notebook, he says "Wow! You Exist!" that means, in every character in the game has one sole purpose, Principal, gives you detention, 1stPrize, hugs you, Playtime, wants to play all day and GottaSweep just wants to sweep everytime. So it says that you exist meaning that you have more than one purpose. When Baldi says "GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!" that is not Baldi, its FileName_2, and if you win, he says "Come here and do worse though, I need you.. *static*. Also the story says, your friend will be late for eating practice, and the friend is FileName_2, he falls into the trap, and Baldi traps him which giving him the corruption. If you did the secret ending, he says destroy the game before it's too late. That means he doesn't want you to fall into the same trap as he did. All characters in the game is victims of Baldi has trapped and successfully taken their soul away from their body into one sole purpose. Baldi's objective is to trap you inside the game and take your soul away from your body.
