This is much more similar to my 4000s issue. Also with the Magenta. If I fill a tank after its started up and drained another during the head filling process it will work as normal. As soon as it cycles though it drains 100% of the magenta tank into the maintenance tank. I have been losing my mind trying to find a fix.

Yes, found that I can lift the head off of the purge unit and that way it doesn't waste ink. You might want to look at the ribbon cables very closely. I'm sure that is what got the mainboard so hung up in this printer.

@@metalplasticelectronics354 so lift like you did at start up and it should solve this issue for now. I've spent more than I care to admit on ink that has Insta drained. Causing all kinds of error codes

Great video. Just bought a Pro 2000 used (barely used 24sqm) And I'm already paranoid about running into an issue haha. Great printer tbh.

Thanks for this. I don’t have this model but the Ta-30 and it looks like my power supply has gone bad. Literally no information anywhere from Canon.

Yes, getting information on these things seems way too difficult. These companies may think the items they sell are their most valuable asset, but what they don't seem to understand is that their customers are the most valuable thing they have. The guy who owns this printer I did the video on has always used Canon printers. But after this one, he was seriously looking at some Epsons. And thanks for the comment.
