This is the 25th year after Purple playing Montreux and recording this epic version of "Smoke On The Water".
I still come back to watch and hear it again. I will surely be back in the next 25 years.

Steve Morse is a immortal player. However Ritchie Blackmore was also a song writer - thats some people forget to give him credit for. What that means is that there would not have been a Deep Purple without Blackmore iconic songs, including Smoke on the water. Peace and love to everyone.

I was privileged to experience the very last concert of Ritchie Blackmore with Deep Purple. While I was sad to see him go, I was stunned to see the newborn happyness and exuberance in the band when they came back with Morse. Please realize that rock, like most other activities on the planet, is a team sport:)

I played this baby when it came out in 72 on a crappy little record player with a built in speaker! My son doesn't think I'm cool, but the 60's and early 70's were some of the best years for music! I'm right. He's wrong!

Saw this tour in Perth. This is from the Melbourne show. We wore out the VHS tape of this concert. Pictures of Home has one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard. Thank goodness I have been lucky enough to have DP in my life all these years.
