yeah it takes one of a kind to write these parts, its easier to copy and play along but to write so sick parts you have to talented. sorry if my english doesnt make sense but i tried! :D
@@Breaker197 I agree with you totally, Jay is a beast on the drums but Joey's written parts are the reason why i got into Slipknot in the first place and i get so ecstatic everytime i play early Slipknot, it's just so much fun! Thank you Mr. Jordison, Rest in peace Joey..
Yeah, I've found that since Art joined LoG kinda lost their panache, feels like he's trying to recreate a style rather than bring his own with him, he's a beast don't get me wrong, I just miss Chris. A drummer who did it very well was that new bloke in Trivium, god damn he rips shit on a kit.
Chris Adler, one of the hreatest in metal history. That fill is absolutely crazy!!! It pumps you so much, and when that sick riff comes after it, you're just out of your mind.
Chris' drumming is so iconic on those first 2 Lamb of God records. Some of the most unique and badass sounding metal drumming I've heard to THIS DAY. Amazing cover Sam :D SEX !
Nothing against Chris, but Sammus is a much more skilled drummer, chris was very predictable, Sammus is much more versatile and in my opinion a better drummer than chris, this is not me sucking sams dick, it’s just true.
Oh the memories!!! This was the first metal song I tried at full speed. I loved every sweaty second!!! And my bandmates were stoked! Told em I could do it and when I finished I turned around to see smiling faces or jaws on the floor... miss my 20s..
I've not seen LoG live but I did see Megadeth while Chris Adler was playing with them and holy shit he's such a machine. Sadly now that may be the only time I'll ever see Chris play live (I'm in Australia so no one tours here, sad.)
Your videos are so immersive!! I've wanted to play drums since I was little; can't wait to be this good and truly be a part of the music like this. Incredible cover🤘
Dude right at the beginning, that snare sounded monstrous, and 0:37, that double bass just sounds amazing, gives it the extra salt, keep up the amazing work my man😁👍🏼
Freaking love me some Lamb of god. Probably one of my favorite bands for a while, a bit ago. Well freaking played Samus! Now I just need to get to this point of playing 🙂
That little fill, at the very extreme end of the video, very well done my friend. Most impressive, a very technical fill that I think caps the song off musically, very well haha
Seeing Samus be creative and change the way some of these kick patterns are played to be more compatible with someone who isn't left foot dominant was really cool. Sounded absolutely perfect!
Growing up as a little metal head lamb of God was always on the too of my Playlist and this song was the first song I ever covered of theirs and I even played for a talent show once for my high school and we won because of it. Samus you play so much better than I ever did and will. Much love man keep playing your heart out.
Samus, my man...That was absolutely fuckin amazing. And I could tell you were seriously enjoying playing that.. All the respect in the world coming your way my friend!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Impressive Adler, this was one of my most favorite songs to play on drums and guitar. It just keeps hitting so hard all the way through. I always leaned too heavy on the china though, loved the pitch blacks for metal.
one thing with chis adler is that his drumming isnt super complex its just really heavy and it hits but his techniques for playing are really interesting
2:39 is one of the main reasons I started to learn the drums. Watching Chris Adler doing it blew my mind. Love this cover 🤘
That fill is soo good
Chris is one of a kind 😂
3:13 the drop and Samus’ O-face 😂
Samus plays it wrong / his own take on it though 😔
@@MariusViken quit bro
It's like seeing Mark Morton play drums in Lamb of God.
Mark look like gene hoglan now
LMFAO
If wou switch the first letter in his first and last name you get mark morton 🤣 how funny is that ? 🤣
@@Everythingwentblack69 This couldn't be more true. Just add shades & it's brown haired Gene
Ha he does look a bit like mark
I always love the breakdown after the drum fill at 2:40
Me too, it's personally my favourite metal part in general. I wish there were more bands with a sound like that
@@Ebbelwoy similar sound in this oldie but goodie... th-cam.com/video/yEW92u-ckbw/w-d-xo.html
Mmmm yeah!
When I first heard it I was sold on the band😂
You don't say lol.
There is just something special about how Chris wrote the drum parts.
yeah it takes one of a kind to write these parts, its easier to copy and play along but to write so sick parts you have to talented. sorry if my english doesnt make sense but i tried! :D
Agreed. I feel this same way about Joey from Slipknot.

@@nahkarska Yeah, Joey was the reason I started drums and he is still my biggest hero.

God DAMN that last breakdown Is fucking HEAVY

💯
First 2? Did ya forget about Burn the Priest?
If I were asked what drummer today is most comparable to Chris I would definitely say the CEO of LinGaping Landscaping Co.
y'know i never thought about that haha! i definitely see the comparisons!!!!
ARCHIE FUKN BUNKER BABY!!!
He can definitely pull off the style. But if you watch Chris live, you can see there's still a lot of differences in how they play
@@dustinhope1913 have you ever seen Sammy drum in a live setting when he's not in chode mode?

“When you love doing what you do, a byproduct of that is the strength to keep doing it and in many ways that’s been my key to success.” - Chris Adler
That bell hit gets me every time
This is the song that got me into LoG back when Palaces came out. it will always have a special place in my heart and amazing memories. Great cover.
The socks. I came here to tell you, those socks are BAD ASS man! Also, sick cover.
I know right!😅
@@amandaleeborchert3745 Heyyy, you watch Samus also! 😆🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@TU42Fuzzy Of course...good taste right🥰🥰🥰
The fade-in fart to the next track killed me. Awesome job as always Samus!!!
One of the best opening songs for a Lamb of God show. I hope to be seeing them in May along side megadeth.
“FEAR. PAIN. HATRED. POWERRRRRRR”
Classic. Still gets my blood boiling every time.
Still remains one of the hardest breakdowns of all time.
That and the pantera domination breakdown

Chris Addler is one of my favorite drummers
Old but gold. One of my favorite log songs of all time. Killed it brother. Never realized the amount of symbols were used in it.
За Lamb of God отдельное спасибо я давно их фанат
Man you nailed it on this Samus Chris Adler would definitely see a smile on this and you totally rocked it out OHHHHHHHH YURRRRRRRRRR 🤘🏻🤘🏻🥁
My favorite Lamb Of God song. You NAILED IT!!
YEEES BEEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE BABY
This is one of Chris's masterpieces.. wonderfully performed good sur!!!
Amazing how a fill just makes the audience got crazy. Every damn time it comes up, the pit just loses it. Its like a switch and boom!
Great drumming , cool socks.
That was so sick, I love the added fills in the fast bit after that crazy transition fill 🤘
Ohhh Yurrrr! Such a tasty playthrough..... I think my is moist and ready for now!
THANKS FOR COVERING THIS SONG!!!
This is the song that made me love LOG in the first place. Cheers!!

IVE WAITED FOR THIS FOR YEARS
Me and my buddy (who are both guitarist) love this song and the drum fill. That’s how fantastic it is
Great example of a drummer playing to the song. Nice cover
one of my fav breakdowns ever
Nailed that fill! I got Chris to play that when I watched the live stream of them making Ashes of the Wake. One of the best drum fills ever imo.
Absolutely nailed the fill going in to the bridge. Holy shit.
Hell yea! My first Lamb of God song I've ever heard back in the beginning. 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏽
Every lamb of god song has the same motif of timing, but it sounds great every time!
Apart from the great drumming, I wasn't expecting you to do that at the end, but it brings this cover to another level
That’s one of my favorite all-time drum fills!!!
One of my favorite songs!
Wow! That was awesome! One of my favorite Chris Adler/Lamb of God songs.
Simply thank you for this cover! 🤘🏻
One of my favorite drummers for sure!!
this is the first Lamb of God song I ever listened to! 🤘
I fucking love the use of the bell in this song. So sick.
Didn't think Samus is gonna cover this but damn. What a cover!
Getcha some! One of the great metal tunes of all time.

Love this drumming!
Me and my brother are learning this right now, i was unsure on the drum fill. Thanks!!
Favorite double bass pattern ever. Ruin tops bleed for me. Just so tasty. Also, your drums sound gigantic. Much love! Great cover
