    Gonna use this now. I was using my website to send out client galleries to let the see proofs. But I used we transfer to deliver edited photos and I need something easier for events and this is helpful

    Thank you so much for sharing this video!
    I am very new on this business, but I've taken good photos already to share with my friends and start building up my portfolio.
    I really need some good advice and I would be totally pleased with your help.
    I've done portraits, events photography (not weddings yet), boudoir photography, and friends that are selling lingerie clothing, solo, and couples photographs
    My question is: do I have to always edit all my photos? Or just when I feel the need for a simple adjustment of lighting or balance? I am mentioning this because with Event photos or family photos, they are almost more than 100 photos that look amazing out of the camera, and for me to edit each one will demand a huge amount of time 😔
    As I am a beginner, I am going to start charging only for an hour or 2 photo shootings in order to gain more experience and people to know my photos. But this option was without editing as it will be at a very affordable price and delivery of around 50-100 great photos.
    I really appreciate anyone with their best advice, thanks!

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you are in lightroom you can select the adjustments of one image and paste onto the other ones. You shouldnt be over editing as well theres a difference for color corrected and retouched.
      You can start by putting a cap on your deliveries but I typically just copy paste edits since I shoot in manual I am able to keep a pretty consistent flow on each set.
      Are you shooting raw? The only way you can get a photo edit ready out of camera is not shooting in raw ir you have a specific color getting baked in the file. I would stay away from that.
      My workflow is like this
      -white balance
      -contrast
      -shadows highlights
      -vibrance
      -color adjustments
      -maybe some spot removal depends on image and client.
      -skin retouch is only offered as 1-3 photos and additional for more photos. Never in weddings.
      Hope it helps!

      @JesusMartinezCreates omg you have no idea how grateful I am with your answer and suggestions 🙏🏻
      I'm going to go deeper with Lightroom now. I usually shot RAW/JPEG to have the option of having both files in case I want to edit some files.
      Thanks a lot for your advice. I have to reconsider the way I deliver my photos with those limits as well.
      Thanks for sharing your videos once again 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Upload all the photos, in the gallery upload menu you can add a watermark in pixieset. Send that gallery to client and ask them to favorite the photos they want. It will create a favorites list where you can chose to make that a new gallery, remove the watermark and once you get paid, send the link and download pin for them download the photos they liked. Good luck.

    • @JesusMartinezCreates

      The wides frame, the goal os to use all your sensor. This way you can crop in post if needed and not crop in camera

    Hey! I'm curious if a lot of photographers shoot using a Picture Profile (PP) mode/setup. do you or do you recommend?

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I dont since I want the raw image nothing done to it. Once a picture profile is used the settings are baked in the image. I sometimes forget and leave my video settings which sucks because I use hlg3 on a7iii and looks a but off when editing.

    Quick question. Which sizes do you make available for your clients to download?

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do 4x5 if I know they go on social. If its a wedding or event, you want a mix, so they use the wide for copy(ads, words, web), for event well they should have options between vertical and horizontal. Sometimes I double the image and make 2 versions if its a banger.

    • @amberrexford1004
      @amberrexford1004 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JesusMartinezCreates sorry i meant like as far as pixels. Like I use pixpa and it offers original size, 2048px, 1200px, and 400px

    Hey Jesus - thanks so much, this has been super helpful! QQ - I'm a little nervous allowing larger prints in case the quality is less than perfect. What size images (in terms of pixels) do you normally make available to your clients if there's a chance they'll want larger prints?

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  ปีที่แล้ว

      I rarely get asked for prints typically I just upload a 2mb file at the most, this way it looks great on social media.
      It is rare when a client asks for a print which then I would just suggest to tell me the photo they want and send a higher res and make sure all pixels are there. I dont do much printing though.

    After they favorite the images do you make a new gallery with those and send them a separate email again ?

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much, it creates a favorites list which you can move to a new gallery. If say you watermarked on the first gallery you can remove in in the favorited new gallery and send them ready for download. 😉

    • @JesusMartinezCreates
      @JesusMartinezCreates  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielkalvito I am a bit confused on your question but if you mean as a professional portfolio, then yes and no. Your portfolio should be a collection of your best work. If you only liked one photo then there you go, if you have zero shoots then add more for now. There will be. a point where you shoot too much and forget to post or don't have time to do it.

      I would check your quality setting for the gallery. Also, I downsize most my photos to 2mb so social media doesnt destroy them for being too big. No client has said anything over getting 2mb files. Still you can change to max quality in settings
