- No Need to Cut or Splice!! I'll show you how easy it is to install these Raptor Grill LED lights in your Ford F150 XL/XLT model grill. They snap right into place and they come with a plug adapter that integrates them right into your trucks wiring with no need to splice. This makes is really quick and risk free. If you ever wanted to un-install them you can without any damage. You also have the ability to use all 5 light pods or just a few as we did here in this video.

Only one who can detail installation for those! As a joke i beat he's 30 min installation with 10 min less😂.. u the best man!
lol. I appreciate it. 🤙🏼
Thanks man… I bought these and the instructions say you have to take the grill off but I see that there’s a simpler way 👍🏻thanks again man
Yeah exactly! I was about to pull the whole grill but I though maybe I’ll try something first. Way easier and faster this way. Happy to be of help
Thanks very simple and easy
Awesome to hear!
Thanks for the video I got my lights installed last night. I went with 5 of them. They all clipped in very easily, the centre one was the tightest one due to all the extra plastic around the ford oval. I did remove the the one bolt for the air box intake. Getting that out of the way made it easier than going in from the fender. Have to do this blind I could not see the headlight connection. Since I have the 3.5 Powerboost there is a lot more components jammed in the engine bay. My truck is a 2022 XLT with the led headlights so it was plug and play just as advertised. Your video was a great help, keep up the great work.😄
That’s awesome man. Yeah there’s a couple ways to get in behind the headlight, just depends on how much you want to remove or how much you want to squeeze by lol. Seems like a lot of people have had success with this kit. My buddy still loves his, no complaints.
We're you get them at
Thank you . Very helpful.🍻
Your welcome!
Thanks for the video. Looks good
Your very welcome. They look awesome. On one of my buddies truck, otherwise I’d would have probably done all 5 lights
Excellent, subbed 🫡
That’s awesome ! I appreciate it
Nicely done
Thank you
Good video. I was able to install the lights myself. The only issue I have with the lights are 1 and 5 can't put installed due to the curvature of the grill.
Awesome. Did you make sure the numbers on the lights went in the right positions /order? I made this mistake and didn’t think it mattered and found out they are made to fit in the different openings because of the grills shape. Might help if you haven’t already tried this. But some still took a little bit of finesse
Great video. Would these work for a 2023 rattler trim? It’s basically an XL trim and comes with halogen bulbs. Thanks
If it has the same grill style then k don’t see why not. It’s mainly based on the grill opening. They are made to specifically fit this grill style
Okay. Yeah my grill looks the same, I was just curious as to if they can plug in directly without any type of adapter. I saw a couple of links and wanted to know which one was for the one you put on. Thanks
@@lacoronel10 no problem at all
Are you sure that it’s not 1 starting on driver side to 2 3 4 5 towards passenger? Which harness is it on the headlight assembly? The closest to the fender? When I plugged into that one my driver side drl didn’t work
It’s should plug right into the back of your main headlight. Then the original harness plug goes into the adapter.
It could be the 1 starting on the driver side. I had tried both ways and seemed to get them to fit the way shown in the video. But the instructions should tell you more specific. They weren’t too detailed when I got them a while ago. I’ve heard they could have updated their instructions.
Gracias por el video, es muy interesante y me resultó muy util.
No problemo De nada
I have f150 2021 standard light. Can I put LED head lights???
If you click on the links in the description it should take you to the products and in the product descriptions it should say which year and trim levels it works with.
Great DIY, is the brightness low during daylight hours? Thanks.
I wouldn’t say it’s low. It visible for sure. My buddy with the truck is happy with the product.
Hey Andy thanks for the video. I've purchased raptor styles light for my Ford F-150 2021 XLT however Ford LEDs does not have an adapter I have to tap into a wire for power. I wanted to run just like you said with the daytime lights do you know which two wires I've tap into to have them run with the daytime lights?
Not exactly sure which wire to tap into. I’d Google or TH-cam search your Mande model and year of truck with search terms like who’s h wire is the daytime running power or something. Might have a video of someone showing where it’s at. But another way is to pull or get a good look at the back of you day time running light, see which wires are going into those bulbs and start from there. There’s a positive and negative usually so that could narrow it down to two wires. Then follow that wire or find that wires further down in a location that you can tap into.
@@FortKnoxCo Thanks for responding. I'll do like you said and see where it gets me. I really appreciate you taking the time to get back to me. 👍🏾
@@blunt1997 No problem at all. I hope you get it figured out. The lights are really nice.
@@FortKnoxCo I found the negative and positive like you said and I was able to hardwire my Raptor lights into my daytime running lights!! Thanks again for your help and support! 👍🏾🙏🏽 #ford#2021#XLT
@@blunt1997 that’s freaking awesome man. Happy to hear this!
Just wondering how they’ve held up since the install any issues that you’ve noticed?
They work great. One light seems to pop off every once in a while. For some reason the clip doesn’t hold. But I put a zip tie through it and it holds now. Lol. I’ve seen some others that haven’t had any problems.
Thanks man great to know, they look great!
nice .. keep going
I appreciate it! I hope you hit the like button. Helps me out ! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Have you ran into issues with your high beams not working with these lights ?
Not at all. Only thing I noticed was one of the light would come loose. I had to push it back in and make sure it was seated well
Is there any reason why the lights wouldn't be on all day/all night? I thought mine didn't work at all but I could see them on in the reflection of the cars in front of me, but only in the daytime. Not seeing them on at night. What am i missing???
That’s weird. I’ve seen them on most the installs where they are always on. Day and night. They are usually tied into the running lights. As soon as the ignition is on they turn on and stay on. It may be jumped into the wrong circuit?
@@FortKnoxCo thanks for the reply!! I suppose it could be connected to the wrong cable, but there seems to be only 1 of that type on the driver's side to connect to. I'll keep looking/trying...
@@t0ny_708 yeah man I don’t know other than it being able to be powered by the ignition or running lights.
Used your video to install mine , fyi its much easier to do the light connection by removing the air box in back of headlight to get to plug , just one bolt , remove and you can see plug , plenty of room , also had to cut plastic box for center grill light
Awesome! Thats great info! I didn’t think about that lol. Probably could have been a little easier making the connection.
I didn't need to cut the plastic box for 3. I pluged the light in first and string the wires behind before clipping in the lights. I did have to glue in 2 and 4 since the clips would not fit and even the clips where bending so I could tell it would never fit.
Are these only amber? Or is there a white option?
I believe they have a white option too. There’s a couple brands out there that offer white to amber. Any other color in the front technically wouldn’t be street legal
Based on your recommendation and I followed the link to the Amazon site to buy the lights. I am happy with the plug and play aspect but the fitment of the 2 and 4 positions was impossible. I tried every aspect to fit it and nothing worked. You can tell after some hard pushing that the clips closest to the ford logo on both sides are not put in the right position. They need to be a hair further out. You can see this since the scrapes and bend of the back plate clip is moving and bending. I eventually cut them off and melted the bump left with a heat gun and flattened it flush. Then used superglue to mount it in the grill. I might use some black epoxy if it comes loose later on. If you could get them to recast the mold it would help.
Other than that I am very please with the lights. They look much better than the ones you buy that don't fit in the grill. This looks like a factory fit.
Oh wow I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve heard of ppl having trouble with maybe one not fitting tightly or popping in. But usually with some minor adjustments we’ve gotten it to pop in. That’s pretty cool you were able to work around it and make it work though. Nothings perfect it seems now a days so it’s cool you figured it out. I agree too, these lights over all are the better ones I’ve seen.
@@FortKnoxCo Yeah I'm a truck driver, so finding a solution just comes with the territory. If it was just 1 I'd be ok. Almost gave up, but 3 atleast fit so I made it work. The headlight clipped on well. Your video did help allot, just to get a idea of it.
@@kevinstrekkie im happy I could be of any help. Thanks again 🤙🏼
So how do you connect the wire with no plug n play cable, i checked my on my xlt 3.3l 2022 seems not to have a plug n play cable..
The lights you got don’t have a plug ? These lights had a split plug the went into the original connection on the headlight and then the original plug on the truck plugged into the other new outlet on the lights. It was like it created a splice with two plugs. So there was not cutting wires and finding specific wires to tie into
There is a plug n play on it, but on my truck seems it didnt have it..do you have a video how to do it? Thanks@
@@chardtkdog8340 you need to get to the back of your headlight. You have a plug of wires that goes into the back of you head light housing. This is reached by either removing your headlight or reaching up into the wheel well/fender area like I did in this video. You pull the plug on your headlight, plug in the new plug on your light kit, then plug in your trucks headlight plug you just removed into the new lights plug. It basically splices your new grill lights into your existing wiring harness.
Yeah it seems like it doesnt have for 3.3l xlt 2022..checked but i did see nothing..
@@chardtkdog8340 yeah maybe the headlight connection is different with that engine or year
Hi wood like to see more details about which plug to remove to plug the to connector hard to see in the video thanks 😊
Unfortunately I don’t have any additional footage showing the connection as it was a tight fit inside the wheel well. It’s not hard to find, it’s just the plug that goes behind the headlight. You remove that and place the plug adapter in and then connect your headlight plug again. behind the headlight there is a plug that goes right into the back, connects to the lights. I was showing an easy way to get to the connection without having to disassemble the whole front end of the truck. But some instructions will show you taking the entire grill off and headlights to get to everything. I was trying to make it a simple couple steps.
@Fort Knox Co. another question do l have to plug the to connector thanks for the info
@@denislegault640 yes, you need to use the plugs they provide. All you’re doing is unplugging the factory plug in the back of the headlight and plugging in the new one with your LED lights and then plugging the factory plug back into the other mail end of the new LED lights. This just allows you to have the new LED lights in line without having to physically splice any wires. It’s a very simple process.
Nice install video man, thank you for the information. What do they look like at night? how bright are they? are they visible through fog? I have been looking at these, and some others on amazon, as well as the grill light kits that f150led makes. I know the grill kits by f150led are extremely bright but are 3 times the price.
Thank you! I’m happy I could be of help. I’d give them an 8 out of 10 on brightness. Not blinding bright but definitely not cheat let stuff. They are really nice looking at night and can see from a distance while in traffic. For the price and custom fit install they have you can’t beat it. These grill lights are a perfect accent to the look of the truck. If you want some real fog light projection I’d look into some lower/bumper style LED fog light kits too.
@@FortKnoxCo I’ve looked into the Baja design fog light kit for 21+ f-150s but I feel like the stock LEDs are plenty bright. I was just looking to add the front grill marker leds for better visibility, I know the light produced by them isn’t far but as long as it can be seen in light snow and fog at about 100ft or so id be happy. These do fit great from your video, and for the price it’s a no brained for sure. Thanks again for the response!
@@Teufels_hunde yeah man for sure. No prob. If you get them I’m sure you’ll love them.
Hi, which one of the three did you actually install? Great video!
Just the 3 center ones. They are numbered. So I believe they were #2,3,4. Left out 1 & 5.
@@FortKnoxCo Thanks for the quick response. Sorry, I meant which of the three brands from Amazon. 😁
Ohhh. They were they style like the ones sold by “SPEAK1BY1” on Amazon. The description reads “Grille Lights for 2021 2022 2023 F150 Grill Lights for F150 XL XLT “
The links should take you to the ones pictured in the video though. They have a black square housing around each light. It’s the only style that has that black square behind the light itself and they clip into the grill spaces
@@FortKnoxCo Oh ok. Thanks so much!
We're you get them at
I have links to the items in the video description
Where can i see more pics of this truck. ? Interested in wheels in tire look
It’s my friends truck. I’m not sure he has many of the tire /wheel combo on line anywhere
This is sweet! I’m relieved to see this can be done without removing the whole grill. Is the electrical connection the same whether you have halogen or led lights? Connecting the electrical is the only thing I’m worried about before buying these lights. Thanks for the vid!!
I don’t think it matters. But I’m not 100% sure on the connection for the headlight. If the headlight connection is stock, then these go right in. I’m not sure if that’s different for what you’re speaking of. this was a stock set up. So the connectors it comes with are for an OEM hook up
@@FortKnoxCo thank you - mine’s totally stock, but your connection on the truck looked different from other videos I’ve seen so I was just checking to see if you had any additional mods that I wasn’t aware of. Sounds like this will work with stock connections. Thanks again, really appreciate your response!
@@andrewcurtis2605 yeah, no worries. I think this is a newer kit or this brand specifically has a adapter built into it. And you don’t have to do any splice or cutting of wires. Other brands or other kits I saw people doing a lot of different things to make at work. This one’s literally plug-and-play. I have a link for it in the description if it helps you find the right one.
@@FortKnoxCo awesome, thanks brother, I think I’ll go with these - I really appreciate the info.
@@andrewcurtis2605 any time 🤙🏼 let me know how it goes.
Does this work on 2022 F150 lariat?
Meaning the adapter not the lights
Only if it has this same grill. Which I believe the lariat has a different upgraded grill. Sometimes chrome & different design all together. If that’s the case then I don’t think it fits.
can you tel me what is the address to order the lights ,,,TK
I have the links in The description of this video. You should be able to click on it and it’ll take you right to the lights you need
I'd be concerned with loss of airflow into radiator when towing in summertime. Should not block so much of grill just for accent lights.
It’s very minimal. Nothing to worry about.
Ordered 2 different sets of these!!! They are junk! They didnt even work. Fitment was horrible
Sorry to hear that. I’ve had pretty good success with them.
@Fort Knox Co. I was excited to install them. Not sure if color matters, but I ordered the white.
@@johnniebkid yeah I wouldn’t think that the color would matter in quality. It’s weird you got such different product? I’ve installed a couple of the amber colored ones with no problem. Was it the same brand I used in the video? I know there’s a couple companies that make them. Some have put a lot of effort into the design and fit. Others seem to be a little cheaply designed.
