THANK YOU!!!!!!! FINALLY a real how-to vid. I've never seen anyone else on any wiring video explain in detail, show the full wiring connections or do it as simple as this. Good job brother !
I paid off my f150 so now I'm making upgrades. And FINALLY a video that doesn't magically skip over the wiring. Thanks for the instructions. Very straightforward. Subscribed!
Congrats on paying off the truck! YESSS! Every other video skips it completely or does it wrong. Thank you so much for the kind words and thank you for subscribing.
I know this is ridiculous, but something as simple as this helps out so much. The last time I wired anything was on a '76 Camaro, on a hot fuse!! Lol, videos like these are top-notch and show little tricks that are great. I've learned how to repair my F150 sunroof guides (took 2 days), replace my a/c compressor (08 Accord-3 hours), replace my home hot water heater (couple hours) I could go on..... my point is I did it from content created by folks like you. They all deserved a subscribe, as you do. Thank you for your time!! You guys have taught me so much and saved me so much money over the years, I don't even know. 👌
Love the video watched dozens of others and could not find anyone do the wiring till urs! Shop said 2-3hrs at $95hr wow. Now im comfortable doin myself. Thanks👏🏼👍🏻💰🍻
For anyone with an 09-14 gen the wiring concept is the exact same, only difference is the grill stays connected to the hood. But, with the self splicers and connectors you listed in the description made this job so fucking easy. Got the lights hooked up and work. I have a 2010 fx2 ( it’s all I could afford within my budget) plus under 100,000 miles I couldn’t get a better deal for my first truck. But, I’m no mechanic by any means but, this job was very easy self fulfilling after I completed it.
Thanks... I've noticed that almost every video spends about 30 seconds on the wiring... It's like "ok yeah, you just plug this into the fuse box. So easy." Thanks for the detailed explanation about the most crucial part of the install
Lol! Yes!!! That’s why I made this video. It’s honestly comical. Most complicated part just gets skipped. Thanks for watching the video man. The next few month are going to be heavy with F150 content. Hope to talk you again! Take care man.
Big thank you for showing how to wire the lights. I've ordered the wiring parts box (and it's a mere 9 dollars and change!). And I'll be wiring up the lights as soon as my package arrives.
I love it man! I hear people in the comments say that their friends had to spend upwards of 350 $400 to get these wired up. Nine bucks and the job is done. Enjoy the grille!!
@@AutoHeadz I wired up the lights today and they are working properly and really looking good. To think I was going to cut here and splice there and don't forget the electrical tape...etc. Nope, I didn't have to do any of that thanks to this video.
Thank you! Your walk-through for wiring was perfect. Besides being extremely helpful it is universal as I used your tips to set up raptor lights on my LR3.

Dude I've been trying different ways to run my lights for my Tundra grill for a year! This is the first video that actually explains the wiring and they work!!! You're the fucking bomb dude!
Just got a new grill with the LED lights... no installation instructions....Have been looking for help on the wiring...Great Video and instructions...thank you!
Great vid. Installing on a Ford Edge. Just wanted to check my thinking on how to connect the wiring. This was clean, simple, and to the point. Great job.
Just to echo all the other comments here, thanks for the great install vid! Like you noted, I'd not seen another video that covered this part of the install.
Hey, what gauge wire is it? I have a 2009-2014 gen and I need to extend the wire so it doesn’t hang from the top of the hood when the hood is up. Thanks for actually going in depth on how to do this.
Well done, excellent explanation… Great camera work in a tight area putting your connections together. The only thing I would suggest is using dialectic grease in all the connecters 😎
I bought a ram truck with existing lights and grille but they didn’t really care for amber so I bought different color ones with same exact connectors but didn’t work so I ended buying different brand with same connectors but still didn’t work, the old ones still work and are wired correctly could it be the wiring harness ?
Really nice video man, I have a 2016 platinum do you think I can do the same wiring connections, or is it more complicated because of the trim model? Thumbs 👍 to the video

Great video. I decided to upgrade my grille lights to white LED. For some unknown reason, they don't work. Everything connects right, but they did come with extra wiring? What do you think?
Thanks. I got a 2020 F-150 hopefully its the same installation. As i am very green at installing a Raptor grill😮 one question how do you tuck all the wiring on the running lights? Are ya using any zipties to keep it from dangling around?

I followed your video and it was great, thank you! What did you do with all of the extra length on the wiring harness? The one that came with my grill was really long. Did you just zip tie it and leave it off to the side?

@@jmeowry Hi I have a 2011 did u end up wiring yours and how...i'm goin crazy here lol
What's the Gauge Size? On the plastic connectors
Great video! Does the wiring kit come with load resistors? Just seems like the 12v would be too much for the led lights over time..
No resistors included, just spliced into the parking brake. Been three years never had an issue.
Is there a way to wire these to the fuse box instead?
I don’t believe so.
Would this work the same on a 2015 F-50 XLT. The wiring looks the same...
Yes it will.

Does it have to be a 22-18 wire tap or can i use a 16-14?
Can we use the 16-14 awg instead of 22-18 awg?
Gonna give this a shot on my 2019 today. I always wonder why they don't just make a connector that sits between the headlight and the wiring harness.

I'm trying to do this on my 15 Platinum but that connector isn't there. I looked everywhere and the only harness going to that light is what looks like a 7 wire 16 pin connector and that's it. I has DRLs. Do I connect the raptor wires to something on that?
You can connect to that 7 wire but I am not familiar with the harness enough to tell you which wire to splice onto. I’ll try looking it up online.
On that connector there should be a power and a ground wire. Typically on the fords the power is a green wire and the ground is black.
A big thank you sir!!👍👍
My pleasure.
I did this and now the light doesn’t work and the grille lights don’t turn on. Fuse isn’t blown. Idk what the issue is. Any ideas?
I accidentally had the black and red wire touch and it made the fuse go off. Does anyone know the location of DRL fuse in 2015 F-150?
Have you seen the new Raptor grille with DRL bars at the bottom ?
No I haven’t. Aftermarket?
Dumb question but, I figured I’d ask anyway. Did you take out the battery or disconnect it while you did the wiring?
Good question. No I didn’t. As long as the truck is off key out of ignition you will be totally fine.

My pleasure! Good luck.
Let me know how it goes. Have a good thanksgiving.
Wil this be the same for the Ford Escape version as well???
I’m honestly not sure. I bet it’s very similar but not the same.
I ordered the Raptor grille from Summit racing . IT has 2 long drl on the bottom of the grille. The grille is not pictured on the web site at all??
Hmmm..no I have t seen anything like that. If you have a link I’d like to check it out.
@@AutoHeadz i have a pic but can't send it.
I followed your video and it was great, thank you! What did you do with all of the extra length on the wiring harness? The one that came with my grill was really long. Did you just zip tie it and leave it off to the side?
Hey Angela. Thank you! I’m glad you liked the video! My grille didn’t have much slack left but I just tucked the extra wire into the upper grille area.
@@AutoHeadz thanks! I appreciate the quick reply. Mine has several feet of wire left, I think I'm going to cut it shorter and just tuck it in like you did.
I honestly would just zip tie the slack and tuck it into the front grille area we’re the plastic shroud is.
I installed using your perfect directions and thanks!! Question, the side marker light I tapped into is now dim. Did you replace your side marker lights with led or is your dim as well? Well done video!!
Thanks man!!! Mine was not dim but I did recently switch them out to LED’s
One last question, were you able to hide the wiring? Mines is just hanging in the middle behind the grill. ☹️
Yes, tucked it under the “shroud” piece I mention in the video. Hope that helps 🤙🏻
Nice! Great video
Awesome video .bro! Thank you much.
My pleasure!
I think my fuse is not allowing it to come on, I have led parking lights already
I kinda did the same but I cut it and solder it 3 ways
I have a 2019 f150. Will this be the same?
Not the same but VERY similar. I would reference the location of your “parking” light before splicing because if the different headlight design.
