You know, before this I thought that in the Compassion Route for this game, you could still die to Sans in his battle. Turned out it was false and it was actually meant to be similar to Papyrus’s battle in Pacifist and Neutral. Unfortunately for the Evacuation and Ruthless routes, you can still die to him.
@@SGT_NUMBNUTZ2736 This could be mixed for Evacuation because at the start, Chara went to a killing spree but afterwards sparing Asgore, they probably regret doing so. Sans could be in the right because Chara killed like… 20+ monsters? But Chara could be in the right since they repented.

I find it interesting that papyrus almost called crossbones sans. It just doesn't seem like something they'd put into a dialogue sequence barely anyone would see.

Not sure if joking but just incase you didn't know,verytime he's present on screen he wont allow you to kill,like with muffet for example. He also stall you for evacuation so that's a lot of thing he's done
@@youraveragemachine1013 I'm talking about protecting Chara. Muffet wanted to kill them, Amand sans COULD have saved them, but no. They let them die. Chara can die to Koffin K, and sans still won't do anything. But when we try to kill him, Sans saves him even though he's the bad guy??
@@What-uj9bm To be fair, TS!Underswap Sans figures out that we can RESET extremely early on, and he’s a very firm believer in the whole “With great power comes great responsibility” thing. Death doesn’t mean much of anything for us since we come back, but if we kill someone else, it’s permanent. As the more powerful party, we have the freedom, and responsibility, to end conflicts as peacefully as they can possibly be ended. Sans only intervenes with his power whenever he’s present and it looks like something permanently bad is about to happen. Also, in the case of Koffin K, it would definitely be outright murder instead of self-defense. From what I recall, if you deplete Koffin K’s HP to a certain point, he gets sent back down into his little defenseless hat form. This is when he stops being a threat, when a killing blow can be made, and when he becomes SPAREable. Unless my memory fails me. Sans specifically takes issue if you attack him _then._
@@n0dash18 Yeah, but that's the thing: If you KNEW someone had the power to MESS WITH THE WORLD ANYTIME, and they figure out so many battles could've been avoided and they didn't have to retry over and over if you had simply done your job and save them, they'd be be very darn mad at you and every monster for treating them like that. For example, Muffet could've been avoided by sans teleporting them out of there, but noooooo, he let's them retry over and over again, letting papyrus fail his quest of protecting them. And the ONE time, Sans saves Muffet when she was still ready to attack. That would make anyone super furious. And besides, can't the player just reload after they kill someone?

The other Sans was too laid-back to frequently mess with us, but since this Sans is taking Papyrus’s role as the main… antagonistic(?) force in the second area, he’s leading his interactions with us the main way Sans would. Via pranks and trolling with a side of casual moral questions here and there.
Dude, you're getting things wrong. This is Crossbones, Sans has never been rude to the player. I know they might both be skeletons which could get you confused but their outfits make it obvious.
I love how in the dogboard discussion Chara is just looking at the screen feeling completly utterly ignored.

It doesn’t feel right to have Sans kill you in Evacuation but at the same time it does feel right.
