I'm sorry sans I guess I should be more considerate after A 1000 FOOT DROP, POSSIBLE CONCUSSION, EVERYBODY BEING AFTER MY SOUL, THE FACT IVE D I E D BEFORE TO THESE MONSTERS, but oooooh fighting back is bad and killing them is bad SHUT YOUR MOUTH SANS THEY STRUCK FIRST AND THAT ONE WANTS TO BAKE ME INTO A MUFFIN AND THAT ONE KIDNAPPED ME
Before you start raging even more, I'll tell you something sans tries to explain to you in the main undertale You have the power to survive to them, you're strongest than every being in the fucking planet because of that, you have a power that people can only DREAM about. Don't you think you have the responsibility to use that power for the greater good? specially knowing that you KNOW you can spare them and end everything peacefully? think about it.

@@mrmeepbeep4239 They don't complain about getting hurt back, in fact, they don't react at it at all and you can even spare them at low health. They complain at you wanting to kill them, something that already crosses the line of self defense, and now take in account what I told you earlier. Do you see it now?
(Muffet cannot be spared at low health, but regular monsters can)

I think people forget Superheroes usually don't kill their villains or enemies. Which perfectly fits into Crossbones' character and how even if it's a bit hypocritical, heroes do have to save everyone. Even if they're the villains. It's not an action of "logic". It's an action of one's belief. And that is Crossbones' character. Although same can't be said for Sans

hmmm i dont know, this level of dialogue needs some rework. Sans's logic doesnt make sense here, Muffet *did* tried to kill us, Self Defense is everything important at this point, even if it costs their own death

I get why sans doesnt want you to fight, but for muffet it doesn't make any sense. She literally tries to kill you, an innocent child, and then she has the audacity to call you a bad person for fighting back!

@@TheSenkMan In Undertale Sans won't care much who you kill, unless it's his brother he'll be upset, from then on he won't blame you for almost anything, even if you abort the pacifist route by killing Asgore, what happens is that many fan mades do sans a kind of morality fighter when his role is only to be a judge of your actions

It would go more like this: -Since you're way stronger than Muffet, not only because of you being a human yourself, but because of you having power everybody else can only imagine having. you have the responsibility of use your power for good, that means, not killing Muffet.
Makes sense sans isn’t gonna let you kill someone in front of him and his brother. He knows you’re a time traveller and he knows that you can beat muffet without killing, especially since humans are canonically wayyy stronger then monsters
if you try to kill koffin K without trying to kill muffet, the dialogue will be a lil different. Crossbones says "What was that" but not in charachter(the voice is sans' not crossbones') Koffin would comically say "what was what" and it's the same after that
I swear the way crossbones teleports into the battle with that giant "MISS" plastered over the screen makes it feel like I'm watching an analog horror and some kinda monster will jump out at me😭
late comment, but there's some dialogue you missed *muffet:* if this is done on neutral or late evacuation (started in starlight isles), sans and papyrus will know you're a threat to muffet and see if you can change. if you don't, you're left alone in the room with sans. he goes dark in the eyes and says "get out of here", you're teleported outside and can't interact with muffet any further *harry and larry:* if you attack and defeat them, they'll be knocked unconscious and the fight will end in koffin's room rather than outdoors. when one falls, the other will attempt to avenge them unless you turned them against one another beforehand, in which they'll start laughing *koffin-k:* actually a really in-depth fight when it comes to endings. i believe your result was from having attacked muffet before. if you're on true compassion and attack koffin, sans will ask what exactly that was supposed to be, then drop the question and proceed normally. i'm not sure of the nature behind this, but i did a max exp non-evacuation neutral run and *didn't* betray koffin, attacked upfront. he actually realized that i was trying to kill him and was in shock. sans put him away and had a speech about how there were children on the crowl jewel watching the fight. koffin's character sheet changed to "status: protected" and ended with "that last look he gave me...". out of curiosity i got a game over in the crossbones fight as that's the only way to see him again (can't date sans on neutral), unfortunately they didn't account for that
I survived the final attack at 1 hp, beat the battle first try

People keep talking about muffet part. Ok, lets get this straight. Muffet deal is to kill human to: 1. keep the bakery up. 2. sell his soul to "somebody" (probably temmie, but it doesnt matter). First of all, monsters still need one last soul to break the barrier, dont forget about undertale canon. every monster in undertale attack you to send your soul to asgore (toriel in ts!us). they literally HAVE to kill you no matter what. There is no toriel to ask sans to watch over child. there is a damn asgore who's friends with papyrus (like toriel friends with sans), thats why, basically, PAPYRUS has to be the one who watch over the child and NOT let muffet kill him. Noone asked SANS to defend the child.So if muffet kills chara, *BOOM* happy ending for monsters and freedom. Anyway, as sans says, he just wanted to see how chara actually act when she is attacked. Its just like trying to kill froggit at the start of ruined home. Asgore saves froggit (btw if you attack froggit poorly he wont actually defend him, just say that human is scared by froggit,and as i seen, weakest attack deals ~10 damage, which was half of froggit hp. Strongest attack could literally one shot froggit) and sans saves muffet from literal death.
Actually, not all monsters in Undertale can tell you're a human. The rabbit shopkeeper can't tell you're a human since in the pacifist epilogue, she says she heard a human was the reason they were free and says she'll give them a hero's welcome completely unaware that is you, Bratty and Catty are also unaware you're a human as they say they are totally hyped for the destruction of humanity and in the pacifist epilogue you can tell them you're a human they act suprised and claim that when they said they were hyped for the destruction of humanity, they were joking. Also, Burgerpants mentions that if Asgore gets one more soul, he will have a chance of achieving his dream of acting on the surface and given how desperate and unhinged Burgerpants is, he most likely doesn't know you're a human or he would probably try to tear your soul out himself or something like that.
2:20 i tried to do the same thing with koffin-k to, but i did it after he turned his back and got a different dialouge, the detail in this game is incredible.

To be fair, he apparently holds the child to a higher standard. Probably cause he’s still aware of their reset ability. And because their power is far stronger then any one monster alone. He even says in the evacuation route fight, that he feels as if Chara has a bigger responsibility to do the right thing first instead of monsters. Great power comes great responsibility or something like that. With his own justified, albeit not completely full-proof arguments.

@@ScuffedWarden sure. Again I never said it was a fool-proof argument. However it is one that Sans clearly stands by for his own reasons. And to his credit, it does have some merit to it.

Why immediately a hypocrite? You seem to have forgotten the fact that monsters themselves are a very weak race, and that even a human child can kill a bunch of monsters, which is why Sans intervenes when you attack Muffet, like: Come on dude, you are one of the most powerful creatures in the underground, and our race is not that strong, so why don’t you try to restrain your strength and try to solve everything peacefully?

@@skell6134 Ну, вообще у вас так то есть способность избежать смерти буквально одним простым нажатием кнопки "загрузить", как говорил Санс из Андертейл:"Если у тебя есть что то вроде суперспособности, разве это не твоя ответственность поступать правильно?" Так же вспомним про тот факт, что в ТС!Андерсвап как и в Андертейл, игрок является отдельной сущностью, а персонаж за которого мы играем всего лишь марионеткой, поэтому вы никак не можете страдать от того что вашу марионетку убили. Я еще видел что вы под другими комментариями писали, мол Чара все равно чувствует боль, но опять же, монстры атакуют не тело, а душу, а чувствует ли чара от этого физическую боль или нет, ещё непонятно.
@@void8027 Очевидно что если от получения определенного количества урона в душу ты умираешь, то естественно ты будешь чувствовать боль от таких попаданий Я то не страдают, а вот Чара от каждой атаки в лицо страдает более чем т.к они не марионетка как ясно из некоторых диалогов и в большей степени в руте Эвакуации Возможность загрузиться это ни разу не оправдание тому что я якобы должен пытаться быть паинькой и давать меня безнаказанно избивать Я то могу пощадить, только пусть монстры для этого будут столь добры и свалят с моего пути по добру по здорову, а если пара тройка ударов не убедительны, то их смерть это их вина т.к уже было достаточно показано что монстры МОГУТ пощадить на низком хп когда им это захочется, включая мини боссов

This spider lady is fully intent on killing us and baking us into pastries. Fighting back against someone trying to kill you is exactly what self-defense is. We didn't start this, she did, so she has to live with the consequences for being the aggressor. "I should have expected nothing less from a human" my ass, YOU were the one trying to convert us into spider food and WE'RE the one in the wrong just because we didn't sit there and let it happen?

Yeah er,i get that he's a super hero and must defense his kind and all but I don't think the dialogue about self defense works as well with muffet of all people. Edit:seen people saying that crossbones is talking to the player instead of chara and yeah,that added way more context behind his word
