Catherine's a genius. And so when you see something like this and there's all that quiet dead space, it's just so impossibly funny. But it's not punchline Laden. It just works
This skit really intrigued me. It didn't seem like comedy, it seemed more like a dramatic vignette. It just felt kinda dark and I have so many questions.
@@enjoyitbro You're right! I am such a fucking moron! Thank you for correcting me and putting me back in line. In the future I'll reserve my comments for videos that aren't completely self explanatory.
Apparently there was a longer ending in dress rehearsal that was cut. The director didn't know, so he didn't turn the applause sign on after Catherine closed the door. There was a couple seconds of awkward silence, then Catherine slid her back down the wall and sat down, signaling to the director the sketch was over. Looks like they faded it out early here, shame.
Most of Catherine's SNL Skits were not that great. But how can you top always being great during SCTV, I mean come on. She was GOLD and always will be. I wish more people actually got to see her during all the years of SCTV. I think about that show and still smile and laugh. Why is it I can always rememebr all the good skits and shows SCTV had...and they all appeared Thursdays at 9 also! :) - Toronto, Canada.

its refreshing to see snl have quiet skits
The best one is Robin Williams playing a mime and Brad Hall is his roommate.
Refreshing??? Really??? It's 30 years old! Whee!!!
She really commits to these sketches!

They met at a party got super wasted got to a room and passed out before they had a chance to get naked and have sex. What else would have happened?

This Skit was just a Chance for Catherine and Kevin to do their Impressions.
Thanks for cracking the case
Is it just me or did she make Marilyn sound Swedish?
she looks good as marilyn
I thought it was Serial Mom at first
Kevin and Catherine are great but that's just lame ending.
Lame beginning and middle too.
