I am so glad I discovered Schitts Creek so I could watch Catherine’s brilliance shine once again. Her role in SC was an absolute perfect stage for her to show off a rare, thought provoking form of hilarity. She has my vote as the most talented comedienne, and I’m so glad the Emmys acknowledged that about her and the rest of the main characters in this gem of a series.

@@afancymime They’ve been long time friends (I believe originating from SCTV) and have said that they always try to work together when they get the chance. When Dan Levy came up with Schitt’s creek he got his dad involved who in turn reached out to Catherine O’hara to join the cast.

I'm no stranger to Catherine O'Hara - she had me from 'Beetlejuice.' She's fabulous. But it's going to take a long time to get over the premature series finale of 'Schitt's Creek.' I could have gone another six seasons - easily.

The beetlejuice scene being 6 is a joke definitely her best and most iconic moment ever. If you asked anyone her most memorable 80 percent of people would say beetlejuice.

Huge fan of Catherine. I’ve only recently discovered Schitts Creek and it honestly has me in tears of laughter with every episode. For me she is almost like the Edina Monsoon (the iconic Absolutely Fabulous of the 90s) for the 2020. A hugely talented actress, we must also acknowledge the incredible talent of Eugene Levy!

I grew up watching SCTV, watched many, many movies with the cast -honestly only started watching Christopher Guest movies because of Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy and adore every single one of them. It makes me so happy to see them still so beloved and for Catherine and Eugene to enchant an entirely new generation. I hope people that love Schitt's Creek will go back and check out the Christopher Guest stuff and SCTV. We still quote her from Beetlejuice all the time

I am woefully behind on my Catherine O'Hara knowledge, but from what I've seen so far, her best moment would have to be For Your Consideration. All of it. It's both an excellent comedic AND dramatic performance.
I agree! I've seen her in a few things, but remember For Your Consideration the most. The journey her character took from her subtle dismissal of Oscar chatter to hysterical obsession with it was emotional and sympathetic. In less capable hands, it would have been just another wacky parody of a narcissist.
