Yes, I feel you. I had my child 4 months before Sandy Hook happened, and I promised myself after that tragedy that I would not bring one more person into this horrible world. Our kids are not safe.

I don't know. She was literally just sleeping in the comfort of her own home, minding her own business, and was nearly killed. That is horrific and not what I'd consider to be lucky.

Its possibly because either they wanted to sensor the blood/wound or they wanted to sensor her crotch area because she was probably in her underwear or a gown. Shes a teen that was in her room around bedtime so that's what im assuming as to why they had it blurred.

As a Brit, this is just unbelievable. She is 13. She was in bed. WTF? This whole situation is so scary, in the neighborhood grew up in, there were so many drive by shootings, I was so scared of this happening to one of my sisters. They are visually impaired too so it was so scary, they would often hear to cars before the shooting started. I can recall this one time our house was randomly targeted and shot at 10 times, and the same week a gang fight broke out in our backyard and side of the house. I remember seeing this guy holding a gun and he was suddenly tased by police (as they were already on the way) outside my bedroom window. It’s wild here. I’m glad you guys don’t have this prevalent of a gun issue.

Prayers for a speedy recovery both mentally and physically
I got shot 5 times in june, the bullet that didnt exit was the one that hit me in the back and stopped in my upper digestive system. Besides the 2 holes in my diaphragm it took 2/3 of my pancreas, part of my stomach, part of my upper intestine. After 12 hours of surgery rerouting my digestive system months later im still recovering and not the same. Good luck to this girl!

I'm not going to lie, this is why i want to move to a different country. Why I encourage my oldest son to move to a different country once he finishes college. Some where that does not have this problem. We're blessed to live in a really nice area, that does not have a lot of violence/ crime. But the threat is present no matter where you live in this country. I just pray for God to continue to watch over and protect us and our those in my community daily.

When we learned of the bullet holes in the attic apartment of our (Mom & Pop) employee couple, we opened our little home to them until they completed their educations and were able to get a safe place. How could we not? And what is lacking in those who have the power to bring this chaos to an end?
