What an amazing Video. I am 65 and that brought a Tear to my Eye. What Pride that Lady must have felt as she welcomed her Son after alighting from his Fighter Jet and what surprise it must have been to her Son. God Bless our Brothers and Sisters across the Pond. Best wishes from The UK 🙏.

Thank all three of you (and others) for your service and sacrifice. I can only imagine Mom and Dad being very proud of their son in following his dreams and following his folks footsteps into a military career in aviation. I also can only imagine the son's being proud of his folks for influencing his choice into a military aviation career and to have them meet him and have his Mom guide him into his parking slot. Thanks also to the Squadron Commander and Base Commander for allowing this to happen. To you two as well, thank you for your service, for supporting those who have served, supporting those who are serving under you and for supporting your military families. Regards Kalvin N New Brunswick, Canada

LOVE the fact that the ground crew guy kept pointing out to the pilot that he needs to be looking at his Mom for signals NOT him. "Don't look at me, I'm not running the show today; YOUR MOM IS!" Amazing, beautiful moment.

By seeing this, I have remembered our pilots we have rescued in some miserable conditions and injuries. Specially, one F4 Phantom pilot tried his best to save his wingman and lost, even after being hit multiple times. War is a mess, you can't come out so easy.

This a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm ex-mil, Army Aviation. I had a similar opportunity. Difference being I trained and mentored a young man from the age 13 and dreaming of flight to today as a 27 year old captain flying freight, single pilot on a KA 350. He flew his KA 350 into KFTY for this years graduation of high school seniors from the youth program, Aviation Career Enrichment, Inc. He was preparing to depart, and I asked the ground handler if I could marshal him out. He hesitated and agreed. Talk about a full circle, emotional moment.

This is cool act by the Air Force to let the parent participate in guiding his son parked his jet. I wish I did it on my Navy son who had his FINI flight on his F18E Super Hornet, but nevertheless glad that the Squadron let me walk in the tarmac when my son parked his jet and poured champaign on him while his squadron mates sprayed water on him. It was quite an experience and am very proud of him. I wish him luck and be safe in the transition to fly the F35C.

I spent 8 of my first 11 years in the USAF working weapons systems on the F-15 C/D models. Being a son and having my parents visit the flight line on a TDY (Temporary Duty) to Holloman AFB, New Mexico, was a treat for my parents. This is an awesome treat for his Mom, who is well aware of what it took for her son to become an Air Force officer and pilot!

I can imagine as they taxi in the WSO saying, "Hey, is that... Your MOM over there?"
Pilot: "My mom? Where? Oh, crap!" 😂😂

I was in the Navy and worked with F-18s. We didn't use hearing protection all the time unless we were working intimately with the aircraft. This was a great video.

LOL! The guy in the blue Hawaiian shirt is dad. Retired USAF aircraft maintenance… he said he didn’t need hearing protection, he just left his hearing aids in the truck.

Beings we are all talking age...61, an AF brat and veteran....and emotions...I was moved to tears by this and not entirely sure why. Maybe because these are my people, the ones that I grew up with, and it just makes me happy. Reading the comments was as emotional. It is great to see and hear from all the military community. Thank you for the video and for sharing. This is the kind of video that belongs on the internet.
