Jones isn't accused of eye pokes, he literally has done eye pokes at least 20 separate times in fights, heck in the Glover fight alone he poked him 3-4 times in that. This is a strategy for Jon to keep the fighter scared to close the distance, basically he gives them 1 eye poke, then after that he holds his fingers in front of their face so they are scared to rush in and close the distance, he combined this with his oblique kick, overall it provides a very difficult barrier to cross. Guys who have almost the same reach however can often get to him, that's probably why Jones was terrified of the Ngannou fight, as Ngannou has an 83 inch reach and could KO Jones even with a mere jab, and Ngannou also is so physically powerful it would not be possible to overpower him with wrestling, Jones would be finished by Ngannou in likely round 1. What about Aspinall then? Why is Jones scared of him? Aspinall has a shorter reach, however Aspinall is legitimately heavy and fast and strong, and he would be able to take Jones down and use ground and pound and submit Jones, Jones realises this. What about Stipe? Stipe's reach is decent, but he only ever had power shots in a very short range when opponents were running at him, therefore it should be possible for Jones to maintain range with eye pokes and oblique kicks. Additionally Jones believes he should be able to counter Stipe's wrestling if Stipe tries to use that, simply because Stipe isn't a huge HW and he is also 42 or whatever, so Jones should be able to handle himself in the wrestling department against Stipe. Essentially Jones should be able to win this fight, it isn't too risky for him.

If it was because of lack of knockouts which has been a theme since they were rolled out they picked a bad weekend to do so because last weekend was the most amount of finish’s in a fight card in a long long time I would argue it might even be the shortest fightcard as far as fight time
Jones isn't accused of eye pokes, he literally has done eye pokes at least 20 separate times in fights, heck in the Glover fight alone he poked him 3-4 times in that. This is a strategy for Jon to keep the fighter scared to close the distance, basically he gives them 1 eye poke, then after that he holds his fingers in front of their face so they are scared to rush in and close the distance, he combined this with his oblique kick, overall it provides a very difficult barrier to cross. Guys who have almost the same reach however can often get to him, that's probably why Jones was terrified of the Ngannou fight, as Ngannou has an 83 inch reach and could KO Jones even with a mere jab, and Ngannou also is so physically powerful it would not be possible to overpower him with wrestling, Jones would be finished by Ngannou in likely round 1.
What about Aspinall then? Why is Jones scared of him? Aspinall has a shorter reach, however Aspinall is legitimately heavy and fast and strong, and he would be able to take Jones down and use ground and pound and submit Jones, Jones realises this.
What about Stipe? Stipe's reach is decent, but he only ever had power shots in a very short range when opponents were running at him, therefore it should be possible for Jones to maintain range with eye pokes and oblique kicks. Additionally Jones believes he should be able to counter Stipe's wrestling if Stipe tries to use that, simply because Stipe isn't a huge HW and he is also 42 or whatever, so Jones should be able to handle himself in the wrestling department against Stipe. Essentially Jones should be able to win this fight, it isn't too risky for him.
I can't even actively take part in the UFC anymore, It's become so un-UFC now.

He's been a clown since time and I called it out a long time ago at a time when so many fans knew nothing and didn't notice his tactics. Crazy how long it took for the world to catch up...
