Thank you, Mr. Lineker! I started watching MOTD around 15 years ago. This program is one of the main reasons for a boy from the border of Russia and Mongolia to speak and understand English language. ♥

He’s not an outdated curmudgeonly racist with ignorant views, therefore he is deemed ‘woke’ and people hate that because it exposes their mediocrity and makes it harder for them to thrive.

It's because he's a socially progressive public figure and our hysterical right wing media landscape can't stand people like that, and a lot of people end up lapping up the nonsense they report. In reality Gary is just an empathetic bloke who rightly thinks there is too much injustice in the country and stands up for the disadvantaged.

Too many special games to count, and managers for the ages: Shanks Paisley, Rafa, Jurgen and now Arne, with storied presenters: David Coleman, Jimmy Hill and his famous chin, Des Lynam and lately, yourself. Jones has been excellent so far this season. Maybe the balance that England need is here. To win titles you need a wide range of skills, personalities, confidence and traits. How direct Madueke was is great to see and he should push Saka for that spot. The left is a concern in my opinion, especially the left wing. Great to see Morgan Gibbs White get an assist after a solid start to the season. Watkins offers a great outlet and running in behind but unfortunately I'm not sure he starts if Kane is firing for Bayern. Still holes in how open we are and bigger teams can punish and defensive question marks on our centre backs we product. Size and pace is a concern for our centre backs.

"4 or 5 million..." in the UK alone! You are not counting what must be tens of millions globally who watch MOTD every week, via whatver device or service they can. The Premier League has been above James Bond or Harry Potter in the UK's soft foreign policy exporting culture, and MOTD has been The communicator of that.

Never got the slack and hatred for GL. A great pundit, with witty comments and a fantastic ambassador of the English football. It won't be easy to replace him.
A round of applause from Poland, Gary! All the best for your future!
