But if the day comes that he and Aspinall square off, expect Jones to deliver a masterclass, just as he has with every challenger before.
I like Adam, but he definitely has his Aspinall hat on 24/7. Aspinall vs Jones is the biggest fight in the HW division, Alex Peirera vs Jones is the biggest fight in the ufc right now.
Yes, Adam. Say it like it is, mate. Speak the truth, brother. There is no other way to say it, jon is ducking Tom to protect his undefeated status. I think history is kind to athletes like this, but this should be remembered. Tom is no 1.
Powerful people have privilege. Interviews aren’t mandatory, ask Ronda & Conor. Also, Sean fighting Chito and Bisping fighting Hendo kills the best fighting the best rule.
He agreed to the interview and then ducked at the last minute he's lost all credibility he ever had. He used to fight all challengers and beat them at their own game. The truth is Jones isn't a natural heavyweight and has obvious disadvantages at this weight. Aka Jake Paul tactics wants to cherrypick opponent.
Jon said he dosent want to gamble against someone younger and much heavier than him at this stage who he feels isnt even the biggest star in UFC and hence is more open to taking on the challenge of the 2 division current LHW champion Alex Pereira.
jon doesn't want to fight someone younger & heavier than him but he's happy for stipe to do exactly that when he fights jon. and he keeps saying tom's not that well-known, not really a star, needs to "beat champions", as though gane and stipe are posterboys for the ufc or something. tom is infinitely more exciting than either of them because he's technically unbeaten and has mowed through the division getting 1st round knockouts against everyone, and he can't beat a champion who refuses to fight him and is holding the belt hostage for meaningless legacy bouts against 42-year-olds that he's almost guaranteed to win. and by "gamble" jon means "risk losing", that is literally the champion saying "i won't fight this person in case i lose to him". sorry dude but that's just not how it works, you can't choose your own fights in a promotion that has rankings. the champ *must defend his belt* at some point against the #1 contender, and that's tom. stop simping man
Jon moved up to Toms division, he was gifted a title fight for a vacated belt against an easy opponent (an opponent who also ducked Tom when Tom travelled to Paris). Tom has monstered his way through most of the top ten in record time. For Jon to say he hasnt achieved enough when Jon himself has only had one fight in the division is comical. 🦆
Jon, arguably the GOAT, is about to fight the best heavy weight ever in Stipe. Yes, Stipe is a bit past it and Tom would probably be a more exciting fight. But it’s quite disrespectful to both Jon and Stipe that all Jon gets asked about is whether he will fight Tom just before this fight.

At this stage of his career, he’s earned the right to seek out legacy-defining fights that come with massive paydays. With only a few bouts left, it makes sense he’d prioritize big-ticket matchups over rising contenders. But if the day comes that he and Aspinall square off, expect Jones to deliver a masterclass, just as he has with every challenger before.
Reality is, Jon knows that Aspinal is the most dangerous opponent for him now, and he doesn’t want to risk his record against Tom.
Watching adam talk about tom, i definitely understand why jon didnt want to do the interview
John Jones’ legacy is now SHOT.
Adam & Nick pair of fighting game legends
How can you have an undisputed champion and an interim champ at the same time? Make it make sense!!
I like Adam, but he definitely has his Aspinall hat on 24/7. Aspinall vs Jones is the biggest fight in the HW division, Alex Peirera vs Jones is the biggest fight in the ufc right now.
*Adam should have taken Jon's hand off his shoulder like he did with tom. woulda been such a boss move*
A for Aspinall baseball cap😁
QUACK QUACK! A Sheep turning to a duck!
Yes, Adam. Say it like it is, mate. Speak the truth, brother. There is no other way to say it, jon is ducking Tom to protect his undefeated status. I think history is kind to athletes like this, but this should be remembered. Tom is no 1.
Jon jones isn’t afraid to fight Tom Aspinall but he is afraid to lose to him.
So he wants to fight Pereira, but he's scared of Aspinall. Yeah, you make total sense, Catterall.
Jon " I dont want any more Aspinall questions " Jones
this would have never happened if they didnt create an interim belt.
Jones doing more running than Forrest Gump.
Not only Spiderman, Duck's sense can work the same too, to warn him something bad going to happen.
Jon said he dosent want to gamble against someone younger and much heavier than him at this stage who he feels isnt even the biggest star in UFC and hence is more open to taking on the challenge of the 2 division current LHW champion Alex Pereira.
jon doesn't want to fight someone younger & heavier than him but he's happy for stipe to do exactly that when he fights jon. and he keeps saying tom's not that well-known, not really a star, needs to "beat champions", as though gane and stipe are posterboys for the ufc or something. tom is infinitely more exciting than either of them because he's technically unbeaten and has mowed through the division getting 1st round knockouts against everyone, and he can't beat a champion who refuses to fight him and is holding the belt hostage for meaningless legacy bouts against 42-year-olds that he's almost guaranteed to win.
and by "gamble" jon means "risk losing", that is literally the champion saying "i won't fight this person in case i lose to him". sorry dude but that's just not how it works, you can't choose your own fights in a promotion that has rankings. the champ *must defend his belt* at some point against the #1 contender, and that's tom. stop simping man
Jones is smart, hes building the Aspinall fight, if he beats Miocic, he will fight Aspinall...and now after all this hype the fight will be bigger
It's all to build a fight, he's playing heel guys 😂
Jon, arguably the GOAT, is about to fight the best heavy weight ever in Stipe. Yes, Stipe is a bit past it and Tom would probably be a more exciting fight. But it’s quite disrespectful to both Jon and Stipe that all Jon gets asked about is whether he will fight Tom just before this fight.
Dude felt that accent and dipped expeditiously
Jones has the right to do what he does
How can no one see that Jon is actually selling the Aspinall fight? He’s trolling all of you.
Simple as that Adam. Well said
Tom Aspinall is a wizard that turns goats into ducks.
By hearing this guy talk Jon did the right thing by not doing the interview
When you're the champ and the 🐐 you don't wtf you want boys!!!! LFG!!!!!
