    I usually add a touch of red at the flange on the header over the blue for a touch of purple as well.
    Well done Ruthie!

    It's so cool that you got your kid into the hobby, not to mention your wife! I got my wife into the whole thing 20 some odd years ago but her enthusiasm faded with time. Ruthie is doing a bang up job...she's got a great teacher. Best to you all!

    Top tip: next time you want small detail ( narrow spray pattern) remove your nose cone on your airbrush. This will allow fine detail! Just be careful not to drop your airbrush this will bend your needle! Those zoomies look hot ! Nice job Ruthie! 😎✌️🫡🇺🇸

    Good job Ruthie. I gotta ask Mathew, in the video I see a blue clamp with the end sticking out that is about head high. What is that for? Have you ever hit your head on it? I’m always afraid your gonna turn and poke your eye out. Or is it an optical illusion?

    • @kevinsmith7697
      @kevinsmith7697 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Shinny exhaust tubes are made of Stainless Steel - iron ore, melted with chromium (the metal) and more carbon than regular steel. Lighter and able to handle high heat without melting - plus shinny - perfect for headers. . Carbon is not black, it's extremely dark blue - so dark it LOOKS black to us humans. But after it's made and all shinny, if it's again heated to over 600 degrees, the blue carbon migrates to the exterior of the tubing and shines through the chromium 'layer' and we see blue. As it cools, the chromium then turns a yellow orange, hiding the blue carbon. Hot Rod Science.
