  • One of the easiest Hunter fans to install! This Hunter ceiling fan from Home Depot comes with 90 percent fewer parts, a pre-installed premium remote with push button reverse and dimming, as well as snap-on blades that do not require screws.

*Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

When installing the light bracket it is easier to attach it before you hang the assembly on the ceiling bracket. Before installing the blades on the pins take a damp sponge/cloth and dampen the peg heads. They slide on easier and you will not have the rubber grommets come out. Installed the new Hunter Channing on 10/20/23.

Just installed mine. Remote works fine. But my existing dual wall switch that worked fine with my old Hunter fan no longer works to adjust fan speed. Is this normal with a remote control fan?

Anyone know why updraft turns on by itself when fan is off? Also, blades move back and forth vaguely before updraft turns on.
I have to turn fan on and off several times for it to stop but that doesn't always work. Sometimes I need to physically stop the blades slow rotation with a broom.
Fan works great aside from that.

HELP!! I've had this fan for 1 or 2 years, can't remember how long. The other day the remote blue light just stood on and wouldn't control the fan. I thought maybe it needed a new battery. I switched to a new battery and tried to pair it but it won't. I put the old battery back in and it does the same. Seems like it won't communicate with my fan. Is it my fan? Any ideas? I'd appreciate anyone's help. THANKS!!

How to turn light on and off with the wall switch: for duel switches turn the power to fan on use remote to turn light on for the first time then turn light switch on and off light will now turn on and off with wall switch, note that the light switch will not work with out the fan switch on but you can turn the fan off and have light on using the remote to turn off the fan. For single switch and wanting to leave fan on' note you can turn fan off with remote' hook constant power to black wire and switched power to blue wire. Then turn light on with remote now use wall switch to turn light on and off.

Having trouble with the Minimus fan wiring. Followed the manual: Black/Black, White/White, Green & Yellow (2x)/Bare Copper, and have done Blue/Red and Blue not attached and the fan does not work. Prior old fan worked (black-black, white-white, blue-red) and reconnected it again and it works. Hopefully I don't have this issue with the two additional Minimus fans I purchased.
    Why is this not working?

Called Customer Service and they walked me through the process - result was a bad remote. This was confirmed by using one of the other fan's remote, pairing it and the fan now works. Thanks for the assist.

Having installed ceiling fans 30 years ago, I agree that this installation was far easier: no holding onto the fan motor or hanging the fan motor from an S-hook while wiring. Good. The manual: pretty good in that I like the large illustrations. But, manual is absent some important information. I wired my 2 new Hunter Channings for operation without a wall switch--remote only is not a method illustrated in the manual. An online chat said just cap the blue wire, as if for a single switch. Okay, that worked, but put that in the manual. I found all of the tiny little parts bags easy to lose: had to fish the two cowling screws out of the trash. Now, for the real problem: the online chat rep told me that my two fans, installed closely together in same room, would operate from a single remote: NOT! No they don't. Yes, I've tried resetting the remotes (using the power off and pairing method NOT published in the manual). Hunter: address this in the manual. And, as with other comments below, I cannot get the light dimming feature to work. The UP and DOWN buttons will change fan speed, and fan direction, but nothing I do selects the lights for dimming. And, I see that this issue dates way back. Unlike one commenter below, I found the snap-on blades to be a snap. Even had to take one off and turn it over: easy. So: wiring easy, blades easy, packaging more chaotic than necessary, and the internal "computer controlled" switching: inhabited by an uncooperative poltergeist. Tip not included in the manual: when installing the cowling, cover the fan motor with plastic wrap to prevent screws falling into the motor. Also, If installing onto angled ceiling, consult an online product guide showing the optimum length downrod for your ceiling height--also NOT in manual.

@@HunterFanCo Thank you, Nancy, for monitoring this thread and for your quick reply. I must inform you, though, that the method you state above did not work. More precisely, any operation of the up/down arrow button whether up/down simultaneously, or individually, starts and controls the fan only. I've tried numerous combinations of button presses. 1) The instruction card says long press up/down. Well both blue lights flash, the light comes on, but the up/down button controls only the fan. 2) your recommended method--both blue lights flash, lights comes on, but pressing arrow button makes blue indicator light come on and the button controls fan only. 3) the card says long press the light button to select dimming mode; its blue indicator light comes on, but the light does not and pressing the arrow key as usual turns on the fan. 4) With all off, quick press of up/down button starts fan.

By the way, I have two fans, each coming with a remote, and I'm trying each remote. I'm not that interested in the light dimming feature, and the fans are nice and quiet, but the remote control electronics have a bug. Apparently, for quite some time now.

I actually called them, and was like "this shit is wack." They asked for some pictures. So I sent them a couple and surprisingly they immediately said it was defective. Shipped a new one to me couple days later. Got the light kit on in 20 seconds. I was pretty pissed at how easy it was, since I struggled all night the week before.
Also, they looked the same. As far as the fan they said was defective, and the one they sent, looked identical in the areas where the light kit attached. So unsure of what they saw, but it's up. Laying under it as we speak.
