Reliving The War takes a look at the WWF Raw vs WCW Nitro "Monday Night War" that took place in the mid 90s to early 2000s. The WWF and WCW put on their flagship Monday Night wrestling shows at the same time and fans had to make a choice on which tv show they would watch, resulting in both organizations putting on some exciting broadcasts while trying to gain wins in the television ratings. Reliving The War looks at every match and promo that took place during this time period.
WCW Nitro is once again only 1 hour long this week. Ric Flair, Roddy Piper and Kevin Greene have had enough of the nWo but the ultra-over faction has a surprise this week, they cover the arena banners with nWo logos and they fill the venue up with even more nWo flyers. Syxx vs Rey Mysterio is booked this week along with Meng vs Steve Regal, and the main event is supposed to include Lex Luger but the Total Package doesn't make it to Nitro. Hollywood Hogan returns this week too, and the WCW champion calls out Sting.
On the WWF Channel, The complete Hart Foundation faction (including Brian Pillman and Jim Neidhart) have their first in-ring promo. Because the Harts managed to take out Steve Austin last week, The Hitman sends his lions after another American Hero; Shawn Michaels. Steve Austin is scheduled to take on Davey Boy Smith in the main event, and The Undertaker promises to destroy whoever stole his WWF Championship belt.

Shawn Michaels’ backstage antics also illustrates what I suspected, the “backstage” area was a tiny square. How it took the Hart Foundation 20 minutes to search two locker rooms is beyond me. Probably snortin’ the jam.
well they are stadiums so I assume they are literally using locker and meeting rooms so depending how those are placed it could be 20 mins

As good as it is to see The Hart Foundation on Raw, it's also kind of sad knowing that Bret Hart is the last member that is still alive today (R.I.P Owen, Davey, Brian and Jim).

Dude love your show man! I was a huge fan during the attitude era and the wars but I think I enjoy your recap even more than experiencing it when it happened. So glad there were no gaps. Keep up the great work. Avoid those chin locks.
I think it was the DX PPV where Jerry Lawler made a joke about Ken Shamrock's "zone" that I still use to this day when people say they're in a zone. It went something like "Shamrock's always talking about being in his zone. What zone? A no parking zone?" It's not even a particularly good joke but it has literally stuck in my head for 20 years.

This is my favorite time of WWF Raw every now and then I would go back and forth and watch WCW Nitro
The only notification I wait for every week every promo and switching channels trying to see what was happening on the other channel

One, that Goldust interview was important as it was not only the start of those types of interviews on WWE TV (you'll notice that the WWF was starting to make that shift there to show the people behind the gimmicks), but it would lead to a heel turn eventually. That was the interview right before he went through a phase.
Two, this is the first we hear about what would be a rather important King Of The Ring PPV in terms of where the WWF were heading storyline wise. That would be the start of a major rivalry, a bit of a turning point, a start of what would be a crucial push, and circling the immediate build up and aftermath would be a LOT more changes to a lot of characters. Funny to see that the WWE were already pushing the PPV at that point. They were probably already planning a lot to happen there even at this point in the timeline.
And finally, these few mentions of Todd Pettengail will have to last you. We're a few months away, peeps, from going into the Cole Mine!
