Playing with Paper and Encaustic. WAIT! Is that a cheese grater?!?

I continue with my exploration of paper and encaustic in today's video. I am pushing the medium a bit to see how many layers I can add to this thin piece of paper. But using mulberry paper as a substrate can have its limitations!

This is really cool. What is the surface under the paper? How do you keep the paper from fusing to it?
