I swear, pinpoint precision accuracy is solely what that fight is based around, and in a game with overall slippery controls no less. Even still, it's one of my favorite Sonic games ever, and its late 90s nostalgic charm keeps me coming back to it time after time :)
something i could give as a little advice for the boss, if you run straight toward Eggman/Robotnik from the very corners and jump, you can hit him and land back where you jumped. it makes the fight a lot longer, but it makes hitting him so much easier.

I'll be honest here, This game wasn't bad considering the music and that the chaos emeralds were fairly obtainable. I was able to get all chaos emeralds on my first attempt and finished the game with the good ending.
The game was good, but felt tedious at times. By the time I reached Volcano Valley, I was tired. Finding the birds was tiring and three acts each, very repetitive.
