You know Marino had a 15 Wunderlicht test. That's the IQ test that most players take, and a 15 is, among QBs that people have heard of, pretty much an all-time low. And yet, he was Marino. Intelligence is a slippery concept. But that 15 is the single reason why "the Marino 5" is a thing. Let's see... everyone knows Fitzmagik has the highest QB score of all time -- a 49, which is one off of 50, which is as high as it gets (there have been a few 50s, but they're all interior linemen for some reason). Rodgers is what you'd expect: it's around 30, meaning smart, but not as smart as he thinks. Sanchez was a 25, which is average. Oh, Eli Manning had a ridiculously high one; much higher than Peyton, who's in Rodgers' range. I think Pennington's was also way up there. If you find that stuff interesting, anyway.
@@jessejordache1869 i thought the main put off from marino was the stupid rumor around draft day that he was a pothead or something like that? Didnt know about the wunderlic score
Happy for you Ben. I know you’ll do great and we appreciate everything you’ve done for Jets content. PJ - welcome aboard and I’m sure you’ll do a great job. One question in the first 20 minutes of the show - what do you mean when you question who is making the decision on resigning players? You don’t think it’s Joe D? Why do you think that and who do you think is making the decisions?
Ben Avery definitely the bigger loss lol! Appreciate that Bruce, I’ll be lurking behind the scenes. Hopefully I can hop on a few pods this season if the job allows.
I've always come for Michael Nania; he is mature, deeply insightful, speaks eloquently and has broadcaster's deep, resonant voice. Really great to hear he and PJ Clark will commit through February.
Gonna miss you Ben but happy for your opportunity. Don't forget us hungry JETS diehards. You 2 are the absolute quality of JETS podcasts
Appreciate that Mike, I will always be a diehard Jets fan. Your words mean the world to me man, seriously thank you.
Wow didn't realize PJ was from Boom or Bust, great show and glad to see him here for the CYJ pod.
Congratulations Ben 🎊
Havent had a team this talented since the Klecko-Gastineau........What we could have been if we DRAFTED MARINO !!!!!
