Welcome back! It's going to be tough to self scout this team when they all collectively took a step back this year. This was probably the worst offensive coaching staff we've ever had.

Since he can't go 7-9 anymore, this is clearly a job for Jeff Fischer.

I’ve also been ignoring the Jets for most of this season. I was optimistic, but they were always half a roster of stars and half gaping holes, though I didn’t expect it to get this bad. To start, yes, I would like if Woody would sell the team. He’s definitely not the worst owner, probably not even amongst the five or ten worst, but he is very meddlesome, and he somehow manages to meddle at the worst possible times. Whether it was the Tebow thing, the refusal to pay for coaching, the entirety of MetLife’s problems and how he is bound to Giants ownership for joint decisions regarding the stadium, the timing of the Saleh firing, or the firing of Lafluer and hiring of Hackett, which I believe he had a big part in. It just seems like he takes on shaky situations and makes them worse. For HC/DC, my personal preference would be John Dorsey and Aaron Glenn. Monken and Vrabel are equally appealing at HC for me. You can put Flores right behind those 3. I like what Dorsey has done in his time as GM. I also really like Aaron Glenn‘s body of work and his ability to prove valuable in so many different places throughout his playing and coaching career. His experience in New York also makes him appealing to me. I see him more as an overseer rather than a defensive specialist. As for Ben Johnson, Detroit’s offensive personnel is so good that I can’t firmly attribute their success to Johnson. If the Jets are drafting high, I prefer either a quarterback that they like or putting Mason Graham next to Q. Either way, I think Taylor should be starting to open the season. I’ve also been very disappointed in Breece. I agree that he has been basically average and not nearly the player he was the first two years. With Devante, I would keep him unless they can get maybe a second round pick, which I don’t see happening. Whoever the quarterback is will benefit from him being there. Otherwise, as a whole, I think your roster assessments are always spot on. No need for me to elaborate further. In the end, it doesn’t matter what I want. I just hope that it leads to success, whatever they do.

Not sure about anyone else, but these last 2 years gave me a hard reset and have been good for me, lol. Last year broke me, this year fixed me. 22 years of screaming at the TV over something I cant control. That stress is 100% gone. I just dont care anymore. Steelers game was the last one I watched. The only way Woody sells the team would be if there is a MASSIVE, SUSTAINED FAN BOYCOTT of everything Jets.

Perhaps the Jets have it backwards wiith Hall. See Detroit, they use thunder (Montgomery) to soften D up and then Lightning (Gibbs) with innovative play designs for big hitters. Jets use Breece essentially for everything. They leave their bowling ball on the sidelines too much. They seem to have a lot of veteran preference on the club to the detriment of performance. Culture thing i suppose. To clarify, i am not an Xs and Os fan. That could be a completely stupid take i just gave.

I came to the conclusion the problem is Woody Johnson. He is the one who makes the hires. His finger prints are all over this mess. 6 playoffs in 25 years is not cutting it. Only hope for Jet fans is that he sells the team. Otherwise the results will never change.

At this point its up to us fans. Season ticket holders should reconsider. Casual fans should stop going to games or buying any merch. We should stop listening and watching any broadcasts or media related to the team. Then we have to pray the NFL offers Mr Johnson the London franchise as an incentive to sell. Its this simple. If you support this current iteration of the NY Jets, then stop complaining. You have become complicit and deserve your misery. People have the power. It takes courage and action to use it.

One thing, Wayne asked how many years Rodgers set the franchise back, and honestly, the answer should be zero going forward. Denver is contending for a playoff spot with arguably less talent than the Jets and a situation very similar with how things went with Russell Wilson. Why? Organizational vision, leadership, and coaching. These are things that any organization can implement if they’re disciplined and determined enough to do so.

Let's get real with Rodgers When the guy has a clean pocket he can't throw posts and outs anymore. His avg is 6.4 yards . Thats 35th in the league. He constantly takes the check down routes and is a statue back there Thats why defenses constatly blitz. Not to mention he likes to run an ancient static offense with no motion. His QBR is 25th and is a 41 yr old QB off of an Achilles. He is done

Run it back, bring in Brian Flores as HC, can Possibly keep Ublricht as DC and bring Josh McCown as OC with Flores from Minnesota. The whole offensive staff can go. This team with good solid coaching, fix the middle of the D-line and find a way to keep a healthy O-line. That should be a Super Bowl contender

Thank god someone's esle noticed QW game has dropped off from last year, I agree with the pass coverage, he's been beaten a few times , I thought CJ in the first game against San Fran was not very good on pass coverage, he looked like he was beat and running clear across field trying to catch up to his target, 3 ,4 yards behind, when sherwood stepped up I saw a little better speed but that's not he's strong piont either, I've seen him beat bad a few times, blow coverage, trying to do everything to prove yourself, idk but he needs a deep breath once and awhile, do your job, forget anything that's not in your control, your assigned a target and that's it, I can't even watch the jets D this year against the run, it looks like thee in slow motion and are just invisible, I have to listen to the game on 104.3 and get bored to death by A Beck,.
