Well she's looking good maybe I'll post some pics of my cousins steiger with a 6v71 with a 10spd Eaton trans she a beast was previously used for tiling
There were definitely some improvements from the 2-150 to the 2-155 s but I'd take a 150 all day. My great grandpa, great uncle, and my grandpa all bought one new or next to new, they'd all tell you there's no tractor that pulls harder. No replacement for displacement
@@bendunkelman4853 I stumbled over that part, no reinforcement the old engine was like 1,500lbs heavier. I just chopped up and redid the mounts from the combine
@@LegendDairyFarming I wondered if the 585 was structural. The regular whites and Olivers had those heavy tubs the engine sat in vs. the 150s channel irons.
Nice, with the Cummins, awesome work over.
An open station rat rod tractor that's cool! I want one
Cool, thanks for the rundown
8.3 Cummins is one of my top 5 favorite diesels
Hard to beat em. The parts support is the best part, thousands of applications should keep them available for a while
There is a replacement for displacement. It's called boost.
Good job man way to keep that old iron working
Thank you
@@LegendDairyFarming we have a 1755 with a cummins swap non turbo though
@@timbrand8315 sweet I hope to repower our 1855 that's been out of commission for 8/10 years, gotta finish up this project first tho

Nice swap on that. WHI
paint her
I'm still torn on painting or not. It's only original once
Why a 2-150? I thought 155s and 135s were better in every way, as much work as that is

I'm only 5 minutes in the video, so sorry if it's explained later, but did you have to reinforce the frame for the Cummins?

Did you need the 8.3, or just installed that because the long frame could hold it? I would have thought the 5.9 would be the way to go
"FRANKENWHITE"...
It's got a few nicknames
