Bruh, it's typical fare for a Chinese Historical. This is based on an online novel. They go more than a thousand chapters. Cultivation novels are so long, they start from birth/rebirth until the end. And, they are plenty of these novels in each genre. They are crazy, illogical and fun. And, also dedicates a few chapters on propaganda (required in modern settigs so they don't get torpedoed by their gov).

Are you confusing the actresses? This recap is Yang Zi drama. She's pretty, cute, nice, but 9/10 of her dramas irks me for many reasons.. like this. Villains wins I only finished &watched AOL because of Luo Yunxi and the supporting characters actors and the OST by Sa DD. Yang Mi is Queen and most of her dramas, good wins. Villains may have upper hand in the beginning, but later karma catches up to them YM's dramas had given good endings and bad ending/ punishments for villains.
1. The narrator often mixed up the translation of him & her to the opposite, which really didn't help following the story. 2. This story is so crazy that in the end I wished ALL the characters had just died at the begining & left the world to the humans. Everyone makes bad decisions, causing misunderstandings & breaks each other's hearts. Half are manipulating how to end up ruling their country & continuing fights with other countries despite there being no reason to fight in the 1st place. Too much hiding identities, fighting & healing going in circles, making promises & breaking them. The writers were definitely on drugs.

I'm not saying Western culture is much better based on how they treat other cultures for centuries. And try to use the well thats in the past when it still goes on in gaslighting. Im saying Western civilization had people marrying 1st cousin, uncles etc hell even Some that where related except for one different parent. They also dont come up with super gropping. Nor are the stories showing other ethnic groups that the people came in touch with during that time because of wishing homogeneous cast. Because of a homogeneous looking group of folks.
Soo..she ended up with no one?? How come, she had a harem of guys?! They focused soo much on this wierd pair or cousins to become the ultimate couple, then just broke them off right at the end for the sole reason that he was raped by antoher woman and it resulted in a pregnacy?! really?? After going thru life and death situations and all the sacrifices, they both just give up because a pregnacy was unknownly and unvolutnerly forced upon him?! What kind of logic is that?? And why no one questions or punsihes the girl who raped him?! Not to mention, why did they made them a couple when they were only cousins, and what happened with the rose his mother gave?? Thank Lord for this review cuz i would be wasitng my time hardcore on this show, hell no....and why all the guys have the same face?? Including the wihite hair guy, he was different only for the hair, but that's it
This recap didn't do the drama justice! Not even remotely!!! It left out many important parts (I hope for technical reasons). This was the first Chinese drama I watched & truly enjoyed it's magic, including the twists & turns. The first season ended w/ a cliffhanger & millions are waiting for season 2, I'm one of them. It's available on TH-cam for free, & astonishingly has very few ads interruptions. Also the English subtitles are quite decent now that I know how bad they can be... I wholeheartedly recommend to watch this exceptional fairy tale *Lost You Forever* season 1, in its entirety before you make your final decision of dissing it 🕊️
Hhmmm 🤔, 1. This was a very good story. I know this is very American but I wish the names were a little more simple. Shoot I would appreciate initials. Either way good story. 2. I think the confusion with the gender is that we see the young MC girl leave the palace as a girl and we see her again older with the belief that she is presenting as female to her patients and the people around her. But half way through we get a flash back and find out that female MC can change faces and apparently gender (like in the title). For me, thats when it clicked to me that she was dressed to be he. Also I was wondering why her hair was up in a bun and not down but then the flash back. So yeah, thats why we keep hearing he. But then I think about the silver hair general sucking her blood when she was a him🤷🏾♀️. I guess he just knew, blood healing is blood healing. Kinda sad though. Mr Silver spent years healing her, part for love and part for his own personal "I want to keep living" reasons, to turn around and leave and not want to see her😕🤨😒. But then she come back to MC prince who made a great sacrifice by holding and trying to heal her until he got burned to unconsciousness!! Only to find out that he got slipped a micky and unconsciously got the girl he didn't want pregnant WTF!!😲😵😲 This story, for me, had some real good twist. Good pick Thank You 🙏🏽👍🏽
If you watch the drama, and maybe even more dramas, in their original language, you'll get used to hearing the names. The pronunciation won't be as confusing or butchered. 😅 I think they kinda slide the "Homosexual vibes" in there sometimes. Like, bro. You were attracted to her the moment you saw her. You found out she was a woman and didn't lose interest?! Ok. It happened in Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms too. Also, I've forgotten a bit of the details now but she's supposed to be the daughter of a demon. She learned how to change her face and decided to live as a man. It was freeing to her. She wanted to change her face but couldn't change it back because she had forgotten what she looked like. Later in the series, someone who knew her from the past, helped her transform back into a woman, or something like that. Yeah. Unfortunately the recap left out some very essential parts... 😂.. as a non-Chinese, I too suffer w/ the Chinese names, since the subtitles reflect the very similar looking ones often w/ different spellings, & once I finally manage to hold them apart, surprise, another name change has happened 😂🎶🎵 What was fascinating for me, was the love bug the lost, then found princess shares w/ the handsome Snake demon (you call white haired General). During the story their abusive relationship at the beginning turns into a friendship, even trust & perhaps more once he agrees to let her transfer the bug into his own heart, despite full knowledge of the side effects...we don't know in season 1 if it's the love bug or if the Snake demon indeed has developed a genuine unconditional love for her w/o any hidden agenda, obsession or clinginess like some other men she's pursued by... it's rumored that in season 2 the Snake demon will risk his life, again!, to "rescue" her during her wedding ceremony w/ her cousin's best friend (she'd volunteered to help her cousin to manifest his power). Also left out is the fact that her handsome true love interest is entangled between his true love for her, his commitments for his "fox-tribe" & the evil doings of his elder brother & his brother's lover, who just so happen is the very person he's suppose to Mary & neither one has feelings for each other.... I better stop here 😂🎶🎵
